We enjoyed our stay at the Pirate Haus very much. The establishment was clean, located in a convenient location accessible to the major sights and landmarks (all within walking distance). We will stay in Pirate Haus should we visit St Augustine again. More

Stayed here for two nights over Christmas. The kids loved the toys in the living room and the pancakes. I appreciated the care to offer real gluten free pancakes for my daughter with celiac. I had to explain a bit how to be truly gluten free (eg don't use the same pan, unless you cook the gluten free pancakes firt)... More

We found this hostel a little difficult to locate at first but some fellow travellers noticed our lost looks and kindly took us to the hostel. It is in a fantastic location, close to bars, restaurants, shops etc. The accommodation is clean and quirky. Staff are laid back and friendly. St Augustine is certainly worth a visit and I would... For a chance to stay in historic Saint Augustine you really can't beat Pirate Haus! We were RIGHT in the middle of all the best shops and restaurants. Could literally walk right out our door into a cool boutique. Parking isn't even difficult. I'm a TERRIBLE parker and even I got in without any hassle. Plus, its free parking so... More

For our anniversary weekend, we decided to go up to Saint Augustine for a quick stay. As lovers of all things "outside the norm", we stumbled upon The Pirate Haus online. The place looked fun, the location was perfect, and the price was even better. When we arrived, it was just as the webpage described. There is no way the... More

Hola Travelers, This was our second multi-day visit a month apart. First visit was end of Oct for Pirates Weekend....and the pirates were in full regalia. The 2nd was this past three day Thanksgiving. My sense of gratitude has been elegantly enhanced by the many wonderful conversations with world travelers at the breakfast table. It's also nice to be able... More

Thanks for your review and thank you for staying with us! I only wish I had more time to sit and chat with you guys over some good red wine! Next time?!! The mattresses don't have any plastic on them though. All the mattresses are encased in waterproof/dust mite proof barriers with a padded mattress protector over them. The jungle... More

I stayed one night at the Pirate Haus and had a good experience. Like some of the other reviewers, I was drawn by both the great price, convenient location and good reviews. The person who checked me in was friendly and took the time to go over an area map and make suggestions about places to visit and eat. The... More
