I've been to the Pirate's Haus Inn once before. Both times it was a memorable experience. My 16 yr old loved it so much the first time, she asked for it by name for her sweet 16 getaway. It has a relaxed family atmosphere with books and old fashion board games for the kids. In the morning there's an all... More

My family and I have been visiting the Pirate haus for years. The accommodations are very basic, but, the location and people are great! The owner Conrad and his helpers are very friendly and offer a lot of information about the area. You can walk to all of the historic areas in St. Augustine which is a huge plus as... More

I stayed here in August with a group of friends. We got the Captains Room and it had plenty of space for 7 people. It was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were helpful and offered great advice on the places to see ( and avoid) in St. Augustine. They also make great pancakes in the morning. The... More

My friends and I split a room here and we were amazed by the location. It could not be more perfect for a trip to the Old City and everything was in walking distance for us which was great. Parking was difficult, but once we figured out the scheduling with the garage it was much easier. Granted, the garage is... More

This is what it is like staying with old friends that are glad you came, at least this what I imagine that is like for people with friends. Quant, quirky, rustic and whimsical this is not a sterile corporate joint where you can wake up wondering if you are in California or Alabama, this is one of a kind. I... More

It's really a shame that European style hostels are so scarce in the US. What's a budget conscious twenty-something with wanderlust supposed to do? Enter the rare gem Pirate Haus Inn, an establishment that needs to exist in every city. I've stayed at the Pirate Haus twice in the past six months, and I have every intention of going back... More

Pirate Haus Inn was accommodating to my schedule and very welcoming. I received excellent recommendations on both bars and auto repair shops and was very pleased with its central location. I felt very safe and well looked after and would absolutely make a return trip--a very fun place!

LOVE the Pirate Haus Inn. Felt safe like a second home and the staff is amazing. I'd move in if I could. Wish I would've woke up for the pancakes because it smelled great! This is a hostel, NOT a hotel. & for a hostel... No complaints at all. I can't waaait to be back!

Great location!!! The staff were friendly! The rooms were clean and comfortable. It is an old building and you can hear people walking around in the hallway, but the website is very upfront on what to expect. There are no TVs in the rooms, which was fine for me because you do not spend much time in the room except... More
