Plaster was falling into the floor of the tub, no outlets in the bathroom, mirror was barely useable, floor was gross in the whole room, no coffee maker, fridge was a rusted out mess. The bed's mattress was one big sink hole and I got jabbed by a spring. We slept with one leg bent over the side to avoid... More

A Scottish Inn owned by a Indian family who barely speaks English. The door barely locked as the button was missing, the blanket and sheets were tattered and threadbare, the pillows flat, the smoke alarm was hanging out of the wall, and the wall behind the toilet was held together with duct tape. Waaaaaay overpriced. Wish I would have found... More

It is a great shame that a stereotype review is all that I can give to this property. Someones nephew or cousin from across the Atlantic is running the property, running it down. The carpet and beds are way past the time to change out. The bathroom has black mold on the grout and the towels and linens are past... More

Under the circumstances (not making reservations elsewhere ahead of time!) I couldn't complain. The price was reasonable, the room was clean, even if it was shabby - NOT "shabby chic". The manager was friendly and made a good pot of coffee, and I mean pot - a regular size 8 cup pot. One at a time. And it is located... More

My wife, brother-in-law and I discovered this place 10 years ago and found it quaint a decade ago. It had the old town hanging tree with lots of shade. It had a carport to park the motorcycles under in the worst weather. It had a pool by the road which was great for people watching. The rooms were reasonably clean... More

The best part, I agree, is the location and the rate. These being the most important to us on this trip, I must say our stay was successful. We did not spot any roaches and we did not look inspect anything too closely on purpose. It's a cheap hotel and we know that you get what you pay for. Still,... More

From the curb side appeal you may skip this motel. From the office you might turn and walk away, but don't. In its retro look it can be disieving. The price is reasonable. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. We don't need fansy, just a clean comfortable place to stay and because of this we... More

After staying a night at a wonderful hotel on the beach we decided to move closer to downtown to experience the downtown nightlife without having to worry about driving or taking a taxi. The moment I stepped inside how I wish I'd had stayed at the other hotel! This hotel caters to roaches, not people! The room had a terrible... More

Our room was disgustingly filthy! The bathroom contained 4 (four), FOUR Cockroaches! Complaint was registered with on-site Manager who advised the motel owner does not want to spend any money to update this facility! Shame on him! Has the local Board of Health ever inspected this roach motel? Worst ever!

We found that finding a pet friendly place to stay close to the historical district of St. Augustine was a difficult task. We took our chances with the Scottish Inn. While the people were very nice, the room was dusgusting. There was paint peeling from the ceilings, nasty stains on the beds box spring, pillows that looked liked they were... More
