Unless you are desperate, find another place! Pay the extra money and stay somewhere else. If you are not picky about old bed covers and carpet, then give it a try. Otherwise, pass it up. A bad experinece for us and we ended up leaving at 11 pm to find a place that we could sleep comfortably. St Augustine is... More

Trust me when I tell you that you will walk into your room and Wish you stayed someplace else! Yes it's probably one of the least expensive places to stay, but it's a MOTEL, you know, like the kind of place that has a 3 hour rate! (not saying they do), but for another 40.00 you could stay at the... More

After having a bad experience at a different hotel the night before we were happy that we found this place instead of having to go home. It was Easter weekend and rooms were scarce. As my husband and I were sightseeing in the historic downtown, we noticed Marion's. We decided to stop in and inquire if they had a room.... More

I go to St Ausugstine about 4 or 5 times a year and use to stay at another bayfront but it was bought out and now is double in price, so I tried this a few years back and its great. right on the bay by the marina, great pool,,,within walking of everything,,,now it is a older motor lodge, so... We came across the Marion Motor Lodge when we visited St. Augustine on our way to Florida from Savannah. It's ideally located, facing the inter-coastal waterway, in the heart of the town centre. The free parking is a bonus, as St.Augustine is best appreciated on foot, and though we only stayed one night, Hank (who's a real character!) let us... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Marion several times. I would probably rate it as comparable to a Motel 6. It's more expensive, but that's because it is in the heart of the historic district with everything within walking distance. And while more expensive than a typical discount hotel, it is much cheaper than some of the higher... More

While the price is lower and the location with a view near town center and free parking is a plus, there were serious drawbacks which convinced me to not stay here again. While the room looked clean, upon inspection there was dirt behind and under the TV and the bed. The three lamps and shades (still porting their cellophane wrappers)... More

My wife and I stayed here two nights. The plusses: * location - on the harbor, great view of the water and ships, good parking lot, you can walk to almost all the of the attractions in old town, St. Augustine - we walked to the fort, museums, restaurants, shops. * the service - Hank was at the desk when... Last few times we have went to St Augustine, we have stayed here, and as long as you know this is a older motel, and its only that, you will be ok, its the lowest priced place to stay on the bay in the old city, due to bestwestern buying Monterey Inn, and now the prices there are crazy high,... Check-In: The manager was very nice. She allowed us to stay parked in the lot before check-in and after check-out, saving us from having to pay for parking downtown. Lodging: Outdated but clean rooms. Good for crashing at night after touring the city. Location: Incredibly close to the best parts of St. Augustine. Walking distance to historic sites and restaurants.... More
