My fiancee and I went on a trip to St. Augustine for the fourth of July and stayed at Casa Yallaha. I absolutely loved it. I loved how the house felt like a second home, and how we instantly felt comfortable there. The owner was very friendly and introduced us to the other patrons and showed us around and gave... More

What a great time we had at Casa Yallaha! Charles was an awesome host and was more than gracious to all of us! He kicked butt in "one-handed" pool and was a great tour guide! He even made sure we had a taxi to and from the concert! We had all the amenities we needed. The rooms & bathrooms were... More

The other hostel where I was recommended to go was full, so I went to the Casa. The hostelowner Charles showed me around, free telefone, internet, pool-billiard, kicker, vending machine courtyard, you really can't complain. The house didn't have the biggest charme, but all the facilities were a good compensation. Charles treated me like a friend and he did everything... More

First, the positive. The owners are very gracious and do make you feel at home. They have lots of stories to share about St. Augustine and you can tell that they really love their city. As they should. St. Augustine is a lovely historical city that is overflowing with character and characters. I have enjoyed visiting since I was a... More

I very much enjoyed my stay at Casa Yallaha! The staff was professional, the house was clean and the location fabulous. I am a frequent leisure traveler and this is the best value accommodations I have experienced in my journey. And the cats, Zeus and Autumn, are great company! I will return- with friends!

I took this trip for a weekend adventure with a friend and we stayed in the Tide Bedroom. We had such a fantastic time!! The location is so fantastic! You can walk to St. George street and back without much problem and leave your car at the Casa. The location is also in a very good neighborhood. I'm 21 and... More

Our experience at cassa yallaha was one that we will never forget. The moment we walked in we felt a big level of comfort. one of the staff gave up his night to take us on a 3 hour tour of the city just because he has a passion for the town. St. Augustine is rich with hisory incluing the... More

Not a Hotel, not a motel but a Hostel . . . somewhat unique in the USA. What was most notable was the friendly, homelike atmosphere and the ever attentive staff. No television in the rooms but a living room like area where co-mingling with other guests can result in a delightful evening. The room rates are very attractive as... More

From the moment we walked in to Casa Yallaha, I knew that my 9-year old daughter and I would enjoy our stay at this clean, well-run, and friendly hostel in St. Augustine. Charles, one of the brothers that own and operate the hostel, is a perfect host and treated us to a tour of the facilities right away. I was... More

The hostel is in an attractive, relatively clean house. It even has a decent location. But the owner is an awful, hateful, right-wing zealot who was impossible to escape. Then, after coming in as late as possible, we had a sleepless night on one of the worlds-worst mattresses. Never again.
