I stayed here for 2 nights during a drive around Florida. St. Augustine is a beautiful city and I stayed on a budget here to maximize my sightseeing options. I ate at restaurants so didn't use the kitchen facilities, but the living room and the deck were nice and comfortable. Wifi was a good strength. The manager is welcoming and... More

My girl friends and I stayed in the private suite on the 1st floor and had a wonderful time! This was a lot of ours first time staying in a Hostel so we were a bit nervous, but we were pleasantly surprised! The suite had 7 beds that were surprisingly comfortable, a private and clean shower and bathroom and room... More

I checked into casa yallaha this past friday and spent two nights in the single room. For around $40 a night you get a small bed and a desk, which was more than enough for me. However, next time I'd go for the dorm bed. Chris oversaw my check in and was very helpful, giving me a tour of the... More

I have stayed in several hostels around the country and this one is one of the most laid back. Chris was very helpful about getting me checked in quickly so I could make my Pub Crawl Tour on time. He also got me a map and drew in the directions of where I needed to go. The owners had cooked... More

Hi Christy, thank you for your great review and we are so happy you enjoyed yourself at Casa Yallaha. I was very impressed with you. It is always a joy to have someone stay with us that understands what a hostel is. I especially enjoyed walking into the kitchen to find you helping with the dishes. You are awesome, thank... More

I can't think of a single bad thing to say about Casa Yallaha. Really. I stayed there for a long time and had an amazing experience. It's impeccably clean and the manager and employees are always willing to help with anything you might need. You have access to a large kitchen, cabinets with breakfast food that you can prepare whenever... More

Parking is limited, which is well fitting for a hostel. The front door is glassed with an access code. The super tiny front desk is well equipped with brochures and highly informed staff. The common areas are very clean & comfortable. i saw a few other guests and they were fun and polite. The kitchen & corkboards are full of... More

Not a good experience. The manager is pompous, sleeps late, and then takes a long late afternoon nap. He spoke badly about the hostel in Gainesville (where I had stayed the previous couple of nights). A traveler needs to register for their stay online, I did not because I do not have a credit card. This caused all kinds of... More

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Casa Yallaha. And I am really sorry our Manager made you feel uncomfortable. It is important to understand the reasons why we request a credit card. We are a hostel, that means you are sharing common areas with other guests and your safety is our paramount concern. Most of our... More

Chris was welcoming and knowledgeable. He wanted to know if I was a new or experienced hosteler and I thought that appropriate so he could focus his overview. The property is older but I found it clean and well organized. Proximity to downtown is great and the place is in easy walking distance to everything. I arrived late and left... More
