We stayed one night in this B&B and found it to be very nice. Rooms are very traditional and 19th century in style. If you want modern this is not the place for you, but if you like victorian era B&B's, this is your place. The owners are friendly and offer wine and fresh cookies in the afternoon. Not the... More

First time at a bed and breakfast and I absolutely loved it! Everyone was so friendly and the breakfast was great. We stayed in the treehouse such a cute room. I highly recommend this b&b!Great location next to everything! It's walking distance to the fort of San Marcos and the shops!

We stayed in the York room and it was perfect for our weekend getaway. The gourmet breakfast was delicious, the people extremely inviting and friendly. It's close to everything and we didn't use our car all weekend. Absolutely loved it.

We stayed at Penny Farthing for our 30th wedding anniversary and Matthew and Betty were the perfect hosts! The breakfast each morning was delish and our room was the best! It is also the perfect location as you can walk all around the historic downtown area; we didn't drive anywhere!!! Thank you Matthew, you were a delight! K & D

My husband and I went there to celebrate his birthday and decided to make a quick get away from Jacksonville, FL. The Penny Farthing was even better than we could have imagined. It was cute, comfortable, cozy and had that "welcome home" feel to it. Matthew was there taking care of us, and cooked us breakfast both mornings, which we... More

Stayed two nights in the Catherine Bedchamber--comfortable king bed, large bath with two-person jetted tub, and private balcony with porch swing and a rocking chair. The room itself was a good size, however, we felt that there were too many artifacts and pieces of furniture making the room feel "cluttered." Difficult, for instance, to find cleared surfaces to put a... More

We stayed in the Windsor Room for two nights in February. The room is on the first floor, newly remodeled, and the most recent addition to the Penny Farthing. The Windsor has a raised, comfortable, queen bed, a private bath with a stand up shower, and a kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There is a flat... More

My mother and I stayed at the Penny Farthing Inn for 3 nights. It was our first B&B experience and the inn came highly recommended to us. We were not disappointed. When we arrived, Matthew told us to think of the inn as our home and it quickly felt that way and remained so for our entire stay. Matthew was... More

How lovely!! We stayed several days in late June. The inn was cool and quiet, with comfortable furnishings and delightful touches throughout. When we called to make the reservation, Marie was especially helpful, describing the orientation of the rooms (important in sunny Florida), and the amenities (very accurately, it turned out). Our room was well-appointed, with a bit of sherry... More
