My husband spent Memorial Day weekend at the Monterey Inn. The location could not be beat. The room was what I expected for an older, lower priced motel so I felt like we got what we paid for. All in all, it had everything we needed and I would stay there again, mainly because of the location. more

We were travelling up the East Coast for 2 weeks, and we stopped here fairly late. We were on a budget and we just wanted to get settled quickly as we hadn't booked anything in advance, so we chose the Monterey Inn based on it's location. The price was fairly reasonable I thought. The best part about the Monterey Inn is the reasonable price and the location. It is about a block away from the fort. The room was small and a bit musty smelling. Good restaurant next door for breakfast. more

I will make this short and sweet, beautiful & convenient location but confusing parking layout, rooms smell musky and feel damp. Not the cleaniest Inn I've ever stayed in either. Rooms are just not worth the cost. more

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is right on the bay and right in the historic district. You can easily walk to all the sites and there are tons of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff are also quite helpful. The problem is the condition of the rooms. They are small which is to be expected... more
