Didn't stay at hotel - just used the spa. Impression of spa facilities and property is that it's a high end YMCA - the spa was NOT luxury - the waiting area is set up like a waiting room for a dental office, fake flowers, paper cups at coffee station, tacky decor. Because they have a pool but are set... More

My family and I met for the night at the resort. We had a standard room, and we found it clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The pool, and the pool staff were great. A lot of fun with the pool and tiki bar. The real problem was the food, outside of the pool bar food, the restaurant... More

Great place, fabulous service and amazing food. The hotel has nice spa packages and specials. The resort has an interesting history and is conveniently located close to downtown and Tampa Bay. I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone

So thrilled this was not a new modern high rise windowed only stuffy hotel! Loved the worldly historic grandeur and soaring ceilings of the main areas overlooking lush tropical gardens. Our all inclusive sorority weekend with over 90 women was luxurious. The rooms were huge, cool, clean, comfortable yet no one spends much time in the room. Each room had... More

Hotel stay was average, although reception was not that accommodating. Once we checked in the room wasn't cleaned properly, chairs and desk were full of sand as if someone had just been in the room. In the bathroom housekeeping did not replace the room with clean towels, the previous guests towels were hanging in our room, towels were dirty and... More

I spent a week at the facility along with several co-workers. We had purchased the all inclusive package. Accommodations were okay... A bit outdated. However, will say the rooms were spacious, clean and fairly comfortable. I did enjoy the Spa treatments and all the products that were used. Nothing like getting pampered day after day. The personnel were professional and... More

My sister and I took our mother for a long week end getaway. We chose the All Inclusive Package, which is an excellent package for a short stay. The room was very clean. It appeared to have been recently given a cosmetic update. The beds were very comfortable. There are definitely signs that the facility is aging, but does not... More

July 22nd-26th, my two sisters and I were guest at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa celebrating my sister's battle/victory over Sarcoma Cancer over the last 18 months and we were overall pleased with the accommodations and services received. We took advantage of the All-Inclusive spa package which included 2 spa services, breakfast and dinner, unlimited drinks (soda, water and... More

It's been three years since we visited here and we are seeing some great improvements! We just stayed one Sunday night in a large king garden view with patio room #132 in the Athena building for the senior a la carte rate of $98 plus taxes and spa fee totaling $127 which is a deal these days. After checkin, from... More

This is an annual recharge getaway for me. I get the all inclusive package which includes breakfast, dinner unlimited drink of the day and a discount on spas services. The spa is wonderful, the staff helpful and friendly. (LOVE the moor mud wrap) I stay for a couple of days then my husband joins me for a couple days. The... More
