We love this place. It is perfect for a relaxing getaway, whether you want to fish , kayak and just lounge by the beautiful pool! The owner makes sure you have everything you need. If you want loud music , bars and obnoxious people don't even bother coming here! It's a piece of heaven!!!

I needed a quiet place to come to after 4 days of research for a book I am writing. Pirates Point is a beautiful place with modern and extremely clean cottages. They have full kitchens so you can do your own cooking. Parking is at your door. The pool is beautiful. This former fishing camp has been reborn into a... More

I recently stayed at Pirates Pointe while fishing with my father. Pirates Pointe has nice, basic well maintained cabins. The grounds are nicely landscaped. I recommend renting a canoe from them for $20 and exploring the mangroves around the resort and doing a little fishing.

We picked this "resort" based on high reviews on Trip Advisor. When we arrived, it was a little different than what the website portrayed. Our unit had a mini kitchen instead of a full kitchen like the website advertises. The manager did give us access to another unit to use the kitchen. The beds are very noisy and not very... More

My husband and I needed to go to Orlando to attend a trade show. We decided it was cheaper to fly into Tampa, rent a car and then return to Tampa for the weekend. We weren't interested in DisneyWorld. But, I didn't want to get stuck in one of those overpriced, noisy resorts with a bunch of 20-year-olds drinking pitchers... More

Feel the stress of this fast paced world melt away the moment you set foot in Pirate's Pointe. You will immediately feel like you're in your own tropical paradise. So private. So quiet. So very, very relaxing. The immaculate cottages have all the comforts of home. The pool is a few steps from anywhere. The pics I have posted say more... More

When we arrived all I could see was this clean well kept Oasis. It looks like a Tropical Island. The studio we stayed in was very clean and had all the comforts of home. My husband enjoyed going just a short walk down th the dock to do some relaxed fishing. The owner and the staff are very courteous and... More

The owner and staff were great in recommending places to fish and eat. We stayed in a studio which had a "Murphy Bed". This made for a large space in the room during the day. While on property you felt you were in the wilderness. The fishing from the dock was great, especially in the evening.

We found this gem through Living Social and are soooo happy we did. Who would expect to find a get-away of this caliber in Ruskin only 45 minutes from our home? It felt like we'd escaped to the Keys or someplace tropical. The cabins are roomy and beautiful appointed. We had a private patio in the back with table and... More
