Pools and restaurants are excellent. Great choice and quality of food. Why does a french company have such terrible Bulgarian wine??? The bar is lacking in atmosphere. Golf lessons with Bruce and toning classes with Audrey were fantastic. While the rooms have been "renovated", nothing can disguise the concrete 60's origins, GRIM. kids everywhere. parents bring kids into the adult pool and hot tub and think nothing of it. We stayed during New Years at Club Med. Upon arrival we were a bit disappointed at the rooms. Had very little help with our lugguage and became worried. Club Med has gone upscale in recent years. Sandpiper is classy operation, with the usual complement of excellent food, motivated staff, good selection of activities. Club Med really shows that cafeteria food can be excellent! (roast duck, foie gras, Asian, Mexican etc specialties galore). Only problem is there is no scale in the club, so watch your weight!
