Did we have a great time? YES Did we have a few issues? YES The pool was perfect, very clean and well maintained as were the outside areas of all of the buildings. The staff very nice and prompt. Think this a Mom/Son operation, funny to see them work to get their way. We had a few ants on the... More

GREAT HIDEAWAY quiet, beautiful, and quaint. Not the Tashmahl as its a Motel built in th e 60's but it is clean, nice decor, well kept and the staff is wonderful.... the fishing from the dock is fun! We spent a week there while visiting our Daughters and was then off to Orlando for business.... we concluded our business in... More

I did not want to write a review as I am afraid that now I would never be able to get a room! We have been coming to Banana Bay for 10+ years, and hope to continue. The place is extremely clean, rooms are a good size (ok the bathrooms are small but exactually how long do you plan on... More

Dirty baths,Hair in shower and floors. Moved to another room and then gave up. We should have moved to another place. But we were on a fishing trip. Over rated on the internet. We like old school travelers and stayed up in an old place in Cedar Key.

Our family spent 2 pleasant nights at this property (room #117). It is very homey with a 50s-style vibe--it reminded me very much of the little family-run places I've seen in the Florida Keys. Only one key per room and rooms have basic locks (one on the door handle and a deadbolt). Our room had an en-suite bathroom (with hairdryer),... More

From first contact to check out, our stay at Banana Bay was wonderful. Because you cannot reserve a room online, I initially emailed to find out about availability. I quickly received a response from front desk manager Betty, advising that she had a room with a king bed, a twin bed, and a kitchenette, and that it was waterfront. I... More

I paid for a one weeks' stay at the Banana Bay motel. The owner, Anand, swiped my credit card and it was at this point that he became extremely inappropriate with me. He came out from around the counter and hugged me! He then told me he had a foot fetish and asked if I would allow him to give... More

Laid back spot with spectacular view, nothing really going on in Port charlotte but if you need a break, this is the place to be! Helpfull and very friendly, operated by owner, independent motel. Propane BBQ in front of the cabin, a small kitchenette and reasonable prices. Self service laundry.....hey....what more do you need? Got a small pool as well... More

In ground pool, small but nice. Grocery shopping less than 10 minutes away, good restaurants less than 10 minutes away, good fishing dock, fishing guides... More

This is our third time here and it is still clean, comfortable and friendly. The pool is very warm like a warm bath. If you are looking for a new building this is not for you but if you like the old Florida charm this is the place. There are new bedspreads and new T.V's this year. You need to... More
