I'm giving this property a 4-star rating owing to the magnificent views you can have if you ask for or are assigned to an upper floor (floors 2-4 will yield the roof of the restaurant, kitchen, and the necessary mechanicals). My 8th floor room was a very reasonably priced doozy and a lucky break as I'd booked on Hotwire for... More

Right on the Intercoastal Highway with a super outdoor pool and bar, the menu is great but the staff is all also very warm and welcoming. I loved my room overlooking the pool and all the boats coming and going. Easy parking, clean, nice balcony too. In room and downstairs coffee for guests. Very clever gift shop with reasonable prices,... More

The walls are so thin I could hear loud and clear the tv show from the apartment next to mine through the night until 4am one night , another day I could hear the moans of the intimacy from the apartment below mine. The appearance of the rooms and the hotel in general is poor, ridiculous bed arrangements, and the... More

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. We had a room at the end of the building closest to the IntraCoastal Waterway. The room was very clean and spacious with the biggest closet I have ever seen. The furniture, carpet, tile and bathroom walls looked to have been updated. The kitchenette was very basic (frig, microwave, oven/stove, plates, utensils)... More

As all have said it looks like an old hotel but Ok it surprised me. The rooms were nice, but they need better lighting. Restaurants on site and the beach is just a short walk away. Nice to be able to sit and watch all of the boats go by and watch the bridge go up. It really amazes you... More

We just love the Sands, location is awesome, views are awesome (go high 7 or 8th floor) if you can get their "Get away package" it saves you some bucks. The rooms are a little old but this is our 2nd year there and they are constantly updating. For the price somewhere else it would be double. We will be... More

As others have said about this hotel, it isn't fancy. It is an older building and the rooms can certainly use updating BUT... the location is wonderful. This place is all about location. I've attached some photos from the 8th floor, room 802. (Get a corner room if you can). The rooms are comfortable but not fancy. However, the action... More

We stayed 5 nights here and to be honest it was OK. If you don't mind the 70's retro style of room with the 70's décor, furniture and beds. The rooms are large, and the housekeeping staff make sure that everything is clean and fresh. The .99 cent pop-up air freshener we bought kept the musty smell at bay. But... More

If you are just looking for a clean, well located, friendly place to stay, may I suggest the Sands Harbor in Pompano Beach, Florida? True it is not the Hilton or Marriott but as the saying goes "a penny saved, a penny earned". I have stayed here three times or more. I have never been disrespected or ignored. The rooms... More

This is a decent hotel. Good location. Pool was the highlight. Great view from 7th floor room and from pool. Room is old. It was clean, but just old. If 80s designs and chipped paint bother you then don't stay here. If you are looking for a good location and great view then this hotel is for you.
