The minute you walk into this hotel you feel welcome. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and have the Hyatt Touch. Sitting area, desk area, 42 inch TV, refig, microwave, and great bathroom. This hotel is in walking distance to J alexanders a fantastic place to eat. the Broward Mall just a 2 minute drive away. The service at this hotel was horrible from start to finish. The hotel shuttle from the airport took over an hour to arrive, leaving me sitting in a suit outside the Fort Lauderdale airport baking in the sun. I called several times and was told the shuttle was "on it's way." I expected more of a 10 minute drive when... more

We stayed at the Hyatt Place for 4 nights in May and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located near an excellent shopping Mall ( Broward Mall) and only a 10 minute drive from central Fort Lauderdale. The hotel lobby is very modern and efficient however it did lack the character that the Renaissance had on our last visit. But... more

Stayed at Hyatt Place with my wife for 3 nights in May/09. Since we live in Brazil, our main objective was to go shopping, and for that purpose the hotel has a great location. About 10 minutes from the Sawgrass Mills Mall, Best Buy, CompUSA, Toys'r'us, Wallmart, Barnes and Nobel and 2 minutes from the Broward Mall Plantation, the location... more

This is an older hotel that's been given a makeover. Reception is cramped but staff were very friendly and resolved issues quickly and courteously. The rooms are stylishly furnished and the mini kitchen area is useful with microwave and fridge. Free wifi and parking are a bonus but I do feel the property is well overpriced at $130-150. Curtains are... more

We stayed only one night pre departure for a cruise. The room has a wall dividing the bedroom alcove, a very comfortable lounge area and seperate work station and the biggest TV I have ever seen in a hotel room. We found the room comfortable and clean. The complimentary continental breakfast (with option to purchase other full breakfast items) was... more

I won this hotel on Priceline for $50 a night. It was very close to the airport, like 10 minutes. Our room was nice, I like the split sleeping and couch areas. It also had free wifi, which made my husband very happy. The television is huge. The only downside is the small bathroom. It's also close to a mall,... more

I had to switch out of my first room because it had a loud older model AC unit. Both rooms smelled musty, flat screen TV is a nice additon but HD channels didnt work in my room. Staff is very helpful and nice. Living room part of the room is a nice addition and bed is very comfy, The bathroom... more

Decent rooms but has a "musty" smell; staff not very helpful. I checked in and asked for 10% discount because I have AAA Card. Although the website said I would receive this discount, I was told that I should have requested the discount when I made the reservations. They did not honor what was said on the website. more

My son and I stayed at the Hyatt Place for 3 nights. He had a soccer competition and we opted to use their airport shuttle rather then rent a car. Shuttle came within 40 minutes of our call. The hotel reception was outstanding. They were extremely helpful and couldn't be nicer. The rooms were much better than what I anticipated... more
