We came down for two weeks and it was just getting cooler then. We walked on the beach (with a little jacket) but it was wonderful. High Pointe Resort was so quite and peaceful and we would recommend this resort (especially the one listed on vrbo.com/10690 because it is on the ground floor. High Pointe Resort is a beautiful gated beachfront resort that is wonderful for all members of a family. The lagoon shaped swimming pool with its waterfalls and its separate kiddie pool was a plus not to mention the hottub! We rented a three bedroom condo overlooking the pool. The pool is fantastic! Grounds are well kept and there is a little bar on the beach. This condo resort has above average pool area, very fun and clean. Also, beach is not crowded like Destin. Only downfall was lack of options for a quick dinner out, but ask the staff they will help you find some local eateries. more
The most beautiful beach in the country. Gated and secure. Outrageous pool, tennis, great condos, great for kids. Next to (about 100 steps) Rosemary Beach which is tons more expensive.
