We had a wonderful time at Sandpiper Beacon. The rooms were clean, housekeeping came everyday and left towels, toliet paper and took out the garbage. No roaches in our room. we stayed on the second floor with a partial view. There is so much there for kids to do, we never had to leave. I didn't see any drunk teenagers,... more

My family and I have stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon before and have enjoyed ourselves each time. This time, my husband and I were alone. We asked for a room for 2 and got a room that would literally sleep 8! I guess that's what they had available. The price was great, we were gulf view on the first floor.... more

Me and my boyfriend, Nicholas, were heading down to Panama City Beach for spring break. We saw the ad for the Sandpiper Beacon somewhere, and thought, "What an awesome hotel?" They brag about the slides, lazy river, bar, and pool excessively. So I decided to book a room. It was very overpriced in my opinion. But, I booked anyway. Well... more

From the moment that we arrived at the hotel , the staff was extremely unprofessional . Any questions that were asked to front desk staff were met with absent looks and little to no response . At the tiki bar , bouncers and staff were too busy flirting with local females that appeared to be underage , to keep the... more

If you are a partier, then this is your place! There are lots of drugs and other things going on here. The rooms were old and nasty. It is a place to lay your head and party. Do not bring kids... more

We have stayed at Sandpiper Beacon several times in the last 20 years. We were worried about the reviews about the hotel, but I'm glad we ignored them. The kids wanted to stay there for the memories...and now we have a grandchild too. Our kids are 12, 17, and 20 now.. and we do not want to stay anywhere else.... more

I had read the bad reviews of this resort but wanted to see for myself if it was really that bad. I put down the $380.00 deposit they requested and set out for Panama City Beach. When we arrived I requested to see the rooms before I paid any more money. I was shown 3 different rooms and I wouldn't... more

Stayed in room 312 from 21 June 2008 through 28 June 2008. Noisy, noisy, noisy - all day AND all night. Appears to cater to "the party animal" who has no consideration for others. Property old (and dirty) in much need of maintenance. Never ever again... more

We stayed at this hotel last week. We had 4 teenagers with us and they loved it. Always something for them to do. Unlike another patron, we did not have to take out our trash. We were given plenty of towels when room service came around. The rooms were big enough for the nine of us that stayed. We did... more

Absolute Dump. Stay Away, Run Away Fast. The room was an absolute nasty dump. We paid extra for a kitchenette. It consisted of a nasty greasy stove setting about 2 feet inside the door. You had to squeeze in between it and the bed to get into the room. Our tv (about 20 years old) did not have an on/off... more
