This is a great park, very close to civilization--just in case your campfire cooking doesn't work out-- but not spoiled. The bath houses are cleaned every morning, so they are very clean in the mornings and early afternoons. Evenings are dicey, I guess because people don't clean up after themselves. The bath houses are cleaned at different times, so it's... More

We love this state park to visit for day trips. This time, we did a quick overnight stay in our trailer. The staff was nice. We used ReserveAmerica (dot com) to do the reservations, which are always well done. The restrooms were clean, and the dump station was tidy. The campground was full, but didn't feel crowded. The views from... More

Laid out very nicely. Wonderful views, nice & clean. Walked out on pier & saw dolphins, and sting rays in very clear blue water. Alligator pond but did not see any gators when we were there. Would definitely go back.

We camped the night before a tropical storm was coming to the area. The storm had scared away most of the campers so even though the campground looked booked online, there weren't many people. Due to previous heavy rains, some of the campsites were flooded. Fortunately, our site was dry & was facing the bay. The sandy soil allowed us... More

Clean bathrooms. Lots of parking. No one was misbehaving. Great outdoor shower to hose you down after the beach. The water was just a little too murky, but still saw a lot of fish around the rocks. Had a great time snorkeling and sitting and viewing the water with my husband.

We had reservations for about 3 months to camp here for the first time. We were so excited! We did not expect the campground & PCB to flood the weekend before we arrived which left several sites flooded. Unfortunately ours was one of them. We had a 40ft rv that needed 50amp to run both a/c's so there wasnt much... More

We didn't stay at campground this year but we have in the past. We love this park because of the jetty area and come here to swim every time we come to FL. Calm side is great for snorkeling or swimming without getting knocked down by waves but if you like wave action just walk across the dune and you... More

We camped at site 147, which was overlooking the lagoon. The site was private enough where we felt like we weren't intruding on neighbors. I loved that there were trees and greenery where most campgrounds in the area seemed to be camper parking lots. Bathhouses were very clean and within walking distance. There was a camp store in case you... More

we got camp site number 36 which is right in fronttof the bay. We had very nice neighbors. We tent camped. It was very fun. The kids loved the water and we could see the outline of buildings over the horizon. We were sad to leave but we only got to stay a day because everyone else had booked way... More

We took our little group to the park and had a blast! We went to the kiddie pool area that has jetties separating it into a small pool type area. The kids were able to swim and not worry about the waves continually knocking them down or getting in over their head. Next time we want to bring snorkeling gear!
