My husband and I spent eight glorious days at the Fisheating Campground. It is a beautiful place and perfect for tent campers. Our site was completely covered by gorgeous mangroves which gave us some great shade. Each site has a picnic table and a small fire pit. There's plenty of loose wood to make for romantic evening fires. The people... More

I wasn't really impressed with this at the time, but in hind sight, it was one of the better stays! The staff here are really nice, and it was a pretty comfortable stay, with one exception. At night, there were something like 15 raccoon's fighting and having a party in the dumpster next to our sight. It was a little... More

The campground is huge. They have RV sites, several different options for tent camping, and primitive camping as well. We stayed in site #53 in the main campground. We picked this site based on the fact that it was designated as tents only, non-electric, no generators allowed. I expected this to mean that it would be a quieter area. I... More

This is the second year in a row that our family has spent the extended Thanksgiving weekend camping and RVing at Fish Eating Creek Outpost Campground. I can not say enough about staff, from quick, efficient check in, to the managements friendly smiles, hellos, and making sure everybody was doing okay and aware of the park activities! Great time had... More

My husband and I along with his best friend decided the best way for me to welcome in my 60th year would be to paddle down Fisheating Creek from the Burnt Bridge put-in as I had never camped out in a tent nor visited such a remote site. Thanks to our friend's outdoor skills we managed to navigate what could... More

The creek means different things to different people however, for some,we share a sort of common denominator,a mutual interest based on a profound respect & appreciation for something very primitive, and naturally extraordinary. What made this trip stand above the rest was camping with my friend K.and his incredible wife. The last time my friend and I camped the creek together was... I camped here as a boy scout 35 years ago and have so many fond memories that I wanted to take my wife to experience the wonder of this great site. We camped here for 2 nights in July 2013 and took a chance since it was mostly under water and a lot of the sites were closed. The water... More

We were a large group with lots of first time campers. We were greeted warmly by the front desk. Ashley and crista were very helpful. They gave us great ideas for activities for our stay. We were given a great site away from other campers. Some of us got to go canoeing. We did the half day trip which was... More

Always try and visit at least a couple times a year... Hit or miss on the water levels when visiting but that's mother nature for you. Last visited in May and the levels low but water was flowing and made for a nice little hike upstream to the rope swing to cool off. The concessionaires are some nice folks and... More
