The hotel is stick to the side of a mountain. We were placed in a large and pretty confortable room 50 meters aside the main building, and our stay has been good. The hotel has a restaurant, pretty crowded and with service quite slow. But the food is good. By the way, Moni is not a real town, but a... More

We only we here to eat, we wanted to eat elsewhere but we were starving and the place we wanted to go to didn't serve food until 7. We only ordered soup hoping we would eat it and then go to the restaurant we had wanted to and order a main course. Unfortunately the soup took so long, by the... More

We stayed one night in one of the upper rooms with balcony - clean, hot water and a view of the rice fields. We found the price was ok compared to other guest houses in town (we looked at 4 guest houses). We also arranged a driver for 6 days with Tobias, the owner, and were very happy with him.... More

Stayed here for 3 nights to visit Kelimutu and the surrounding area. The family and crew are very nice and helpfull and the atmosphere is great. The room was 350.000 / night which is a little overpriced I think compared to the other hotels and guesthouses I stayed this summer. There was a mouldy smell in the room, but I... More

Unfortunately the Bintang Lodge is benefiting greatly from being the listed as the best option in LONELY PLANET, which is far from reality. The staff and the drivers they employ at Bintang Lodge are horribly dishonest and untrustworthy. We experienced an extremely childish event here due to a miscommunication between the staff. While we organised another transport option, we were... More

The staff and owner of Bintang lodge are fantastic, very warm and friendly. We spent a little bit of time with them at supper our 2nd night. Love them! Very good people. We spend 2 nights here and our room is a decent size , clean, with good bed and pillows. Bathroom is a moderate size with flush toilet and... More

There are only a handful of guesthouses in Moni, approximately 5 or 6 when we were there but this one is definitely the most popular. I have to believe the only reason for this is that they are #1 in Lonely Planet. The rooms were poor, unclean, and falling apart. The service was terrible, we had to wait hours to... More

As I had read reviews on here before, we asked to get a room at the top, which was clean, had a small balcony and hot water. We thought this was good enough for a place like Moni. Food was bad and I'd recommend to eat elsewhere if possible. The staff seemed to be a lot more interested in tourists... More

I stayed in the cheaper, older rooms that were badly maintained. It stunk and had insects attracted to the grime. Furthermore, the service was terrible with the staff either ignoring customers or being rude both at the restaurant and overall. The food at the restaurant is overpriced for meat items and generally poor quality. I came in late in the... More

Ate here several times as there are very few places to eat in Moni. Food was ok - but variable depending on who cooked.. as were the Ginger Drinks! Prices a little high but no competition. Service was non existent. Staff members sat around chatting, appeared customers were an unwanted distraction when they can make enough from their rooms.
