Heard it reopened with new owners. Drove up from so. Florida to check out the campground and try the restaurant for lunch. Chatted with the chef who seemed quite qualified and friendly. Lunch menu limited but we enjoyed our meal. After lunch strolled over to the marina for a look and then to the r/v sites. I saw one 5th... More

What a great weekend! Amazing sunsets!!!! Campsite is good sized right on the water. You can fish from your site. Plenty of parking. Full hook/ups. Pool, tiki bar and restaurant was nice. Everyone we spoke to was nice and helpful. I didn't see the restrooms but heard the shower area was ok. Town is questionable but appears they are working... More

We stayed in a small cabin, fine for what we needed. Mini fridge and microwave and small sink. Lake is pretty and saw some gators and birds. Pool looked okay, but was too cold to swim in. I know I saw somewhere on the website that it was heated, but maybe that was the main KOA website. Didn't have much... More

Spent two nights because of a special buy one night get second free, thought the original $50 per night was overpriced for Pahokee, but wanted to try new KOA in the area. Some special, at check-in I was told an additional $9.95 was due for electric, I had never heard of that and I was ready to walk out but the... This past December I went back here with my boyfriend for the weekend. As of the new year, they closed the cabins, campgrounds, and tiki bar. Apparently they turned the property over to the city...

I always wanted to visit this big lake in the middle of Florida. Lake Okeechobee is the largest freshwater lake in the state of Florida, and seeing it from the shore it looks like the ocean. We visited the Lake Okeechobee Outpost with the hope of spending the day there enjoying nature, and at the same time gathering information for... More

My boyfriend and I had been looking to go somewhere for weekend but couldn't decide what we wanted to do. We ended up choosing the Outpost because it wasn't too far, but far enough for our little get-a-way. I didn't know anything about it, but we took a shot in the dark and LOVED IT!! I brought my dog too,... More
