We stayed on the third floor, Aotearoa house, May 13 to 15, 2012. Although the hotel is dated, the rooms are bigger than Wilderness Lodge and it was nice for our boys (12 & 14) to have their own beds. The pool is a bit shallow for older kids but great for younger. The slide is fun. We LOVED watching... More

We were upgraded to a room at the concierge level with a great view of the Magic Kingdom - PERFECT for my daughter's birthday. Our suite was right next to tthe lounge, so the kids got up for breakfast, ate and watched tv in their pjs! The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the commute to the park was... More

This was our third stay at the wonderful Polynesian. We celebrated our 17th, 20th and now our 21st anniversaries at the Polynesian. I can only say this: if you want to feel you have been transported to another world, stay at the Polynesian. Yes, it is part of the Disney World park, but once you step into the resort, you... More

Disney's Polynesian Resort was a great choice for our family. Our rooms were newly renovated and on the ground floor. Every evening the children had a dinner picnic on the grass that was right outside of our sliding doors. Additionally, they were able to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the grass. The pools and beach areas were great. There... More

We have been to the Polynesian Resort twice and had a great time....I keep telling the kids we need to try another Disney Hotel but its hard to get them to try another one. We even had to leave the Nic Hotel during the night because it was so bad and the Polynesian got us right in. All our stress... More

This was our first trip to WDW and we wanted to limit the hassles. Staying at the Polynesian fit that bill to a tee! We have two preschool-age kids and it was great to be able to use the monorail to get to the Magic Kingdom. No folding up the double stroller! Kids loved the volcano pool even though the... More

We were just back at the Polynesian for a week's stay. The previous visit was six years ago with our older son and we wanted to re-do the vacation with our younger children. It was a great place to stay six years ago and it still is wonderful. I booked the visit before looking at the TripAdvisor reviews (since I'd... More

Be prepared to let your inner child take over. This resort is everything you expect (or should). A plethora of lush tropical plants, bamboo, waterfalls, and leis await. If you think this sounds like a sixties dream, you are right on the mark. Your room is bamboo heaven--with grass wallpaper in the bathroom and cut out bamboo for bedside lamps.... More

My family (me, husband, DD 6, DD 2 and my parents) stayed here for our Disney trip. It was totally worth the extra money to be on the monorail route. The staff was so friendly, and the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are large compared to other resorts too. My kids loved the volcano slide and the beach. We also... More
