This was a nice hotel with nice rooms and a very nice pool deck outside. We all enjoyed the pool. We chose this hotel for proximity to the July 4 fireworks at Lake Eola Park as it is withing walking distance. It was a good location for that. We stayed here booking a Escape Family Time Promotion that was supposed... more

This place is very below Marriott standards, so if you are expecting a Marriott, you will be sorely disappointed. I was here on business and so did not pay for my stay, but if I had I would be calling Marriot and complaining. The hotel is in the worst possible location imaginable for Orlando. Its basically in the parking lot... more

We stayed at the Downtown Marriott which is located just to the north of downtown. Very clean hotel and restaurant with a very attentive staff in the restaurant and the bar. Location is easy to get to, building in very good shape, nice swimming pool. Rate was very competitive, better than what we have had at other hotels in downtown... more

This property would probably be rated a three star hotel, but I can only give it 2 stars for the day that I stayed there. Here's why- The hotel is conveniently located by Amway Arena. This is great if the reason you're staying at the Marriott Downtown is because you're attending an event at the Arena. However, if you're not,... more

This is an older hotel, so I wan unsure what we'd be getting. However, it was worth taking the change. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the fitness center was clean and modern (and the machines worked liked they were supposed to. The bathrooms were clean and the Concierge Lounge was wonderful. more

I had business in Downtown Orlando and opted for one of the closest hotels. Definitely worn down and in need of renovating. Also a bit off of the beaten path - about a 10-15 minute walk through a fairly desolate area to restaurants/bars located downtown. Very friendly staff and room was fine. Not as nice as a typical Marriott but... more

When you drive up you will notice (as the notes in the reservation email warned) that they are doing renovations. What used to be a glitzy entrance is now dated looking and obviously in need of its current makeover. You must use the valet service (14.00 a day), which was not the best on a Saturday. It was 5-6 guys... more

It is a OK hotel, but be aware of a few things - don't get a room on the 15th floor, there's a noise coming from I don't know what (probably AC system or heating or smth else) and it's hard to sleep. That's serious! Breakfast is very ordinary and expensive. The furniture is very old and rather ugly. The... more

I cannot believe some of the negative reviews about this hotel! This hotel was amazing! Lovely spacious lobby, good restaurant with very reasonably priced food. Staff very helpful and friendly. The bedrooms were beautiful! Very large, comfortable beds and immacuately clean! - Large spacious bathroom. Lovely swimming pool area and Jacuzzi. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great place to... more

Disclaimer: My review is based on comparing this hotel to others in it's price/star range. I travel for business and the hotel cost is expensed, so I rarely am concerned about the room rate. Overview: This is one of those stays where I wish TripAdvisor had a 3.5 star rating. It was better than an "average" stay, but not the... more
