Premium RV sites are flat, clean and have a good, clean picnic table. I have read complaints about the distance to pools but we always bring bikes so that just adds to the fun. The campground should probably add another pool because the main pool was always crowded. That said, we will never stay at another hotel for disney until... More

Spent 7 nights in the 400 loop (premium sites) The loop is near the marina and settlement depot bus stop. If you don't have a camper and don't want to stay in a cabin, let me direct you to www.floridacamperrental.com This is what my extended family did. There were 14 of us and we rented 2 campers. They came to... More

This is a camping experience like no other! From their flawless intake system at the campground entrance, to the cleanliness of the comfort stations, Fort Wilderness does everything in first-class fashion. Sure, you pay more than you might to camp in a state park, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" certainly applies here.

Spend a night here and love it as always. Don't much care for the $466.for a four night stay so put up with that. Lots of mosquitos last night at the sing a long. Had to leave there at 9 pm, they were buzzing us too much

Spent 6 nights in the 300 loop (pet loop), preferred site, in our 31 ft travel trailer. The Fort is just beautiful and the staff is so lovely and accommodating. You're always greeted with a smile and "How is your stay going?". My answer was always "Perfect!". We used the online checkin and our actual checkin time was barely 10... More

When you arrive at Fort Wilderness you are greeted at your coach in the drive through lanes. You don't have to get out and do anything. We were towing a car since this was part of a multi-stop trip. You really do not need a car at Disney. We never moved it until it was time to leave. One thing... More

Third time was a charm! We tent camped in 2000 much different experience! The transportation at the campgrounds is great. It was a quick walk over to the meadow swiming pool. The purple line is the only bus that goes to our campsite, which is great because it was never crowded. We took the boat to the magic kingdom, wow... More

We really liked our camping experience at Fort Wilderness. On recommendation of others, we rented a golf cart and are so glad we did! It is truly a must to get around! Our site was in the 1400 loop-- quiet and convenient. The restrooms were spotless and there is an ice machine as well as laundry facility in that loop... More

We arrived the day before Mother's Day to a FULL campground, but it cleared out on Sunday, leaving the grounds only about 1/3 full. We were in the 300 loop, which was close enough to walk to the Magic Kingdom boat, Pioneer Hall (for the fabulous Hoop De Doo Revue) and Crockett's Tavern where we enjoyed 2 delicious breakfast buffets.... Once again Disney does not disappoint. We stayed here with our camper "Lucky Dogs" and the two dogs it is named for. Friends with their camper and two dogs joined us for five days. The reservation staffed honored our requests to be next to each other. Lots of trees and shrubs are between each campsite which makes it more private.... More
