The thing I loved most about camping at Fort Wilderness was getting to leave the crowds behind at Magic Kingdom, take a pretty boat to Fort Wilderness, and walk down wooded lanes to my campsite. In addition to meeting Mickey and riding rollercoasters, my son spent a part of his vacation putting up and taking down a tent, riding a... More

Disney was great, after letting us not set up on our first day (because of rain) when we finally set up, things were great. The site (1508) was big enough for our sizable tent and screen room. We were near the comfort station, which was some of the best I've seen. There's a phone to the front desk and washing... More

Camping at Ft. Wilderness provides you with an awesome Disney vacation that most other guests never get to experience. Beautiful wooded sites, campfires and sing-a-longs every night with Chip & Dale, followed by a Disney movie on an outdoor screen. Down at the lake you can rent a boat, shop, have a bite to eat or just sit and relax.... More

This is a mixed review so read into it what you will. The campground itself is phenomenal. The best we have stayed in to date with regards to condition of the sites, ease of setup and services. The amenities offered are exceptional and by volume, second to none. The down side, the attitudes of the staff are horrendous when compared... More

Premium RV sites are flat, clean and have a good, clean picnic table. I have read complaints about the distance to pools but we always bring bikes so that just adds to the fun. The campground should probably add another pool because the main pool was always crowded. That said, we will never stay at another hotel for disney until... More

Spent 7 nights in the 400 loop (premium sites) The loop is near the marina and settlement depot bus stop. If you don't have a camper and don't want to stay in a cabin, let me direct you to www.floridacamperrental.com This is what my extended family did. There were 14 of us and we rented 2 campers. They came to... More

This is a camping experience like no other! From their flawless intake system at the campground entrance, to the cleanliness of the comfort stations, Fort Wilderness does everything in first-class fashion. Sure, you pay more than you might to camp in a state park, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" certainly applies here.

Spend a night here and love it as always. Don't much care for the $466.for a four night stay so put up with that. Lots of mosquitos last night at the sing a long. Had to leave there at 9 pm, they were buzzing us too much

Spent 6 nights in the 300 loop (pet loop), preferred site, in our 31 ft travel trailer. The Fort is just beautiful and the staff is so lovely and accommodating. You're always greeted with a smile and "How is your stay going?". My answer was always "Perfect!". We used the online checkin and our actual checkin time was barely 10... More

When you arrive at Fort Wilderness you are greeted at your coach in the drive through lanes. You don't have to get out and do anything. We were towing a car since this was part of a multi-stop trip. You really do not need a car at Disney. We never moved it until it was time to leave. One thing... More
