For the price, the hotel is just okay. The rooms were adequate, but a bit outdated. Bathrooms where what I would consider more at a middle-class type of hotel not high-end. The boat is very convenient to Magic Kingdom, but the monorail and busses were all messed up when we were there with wait times well over 30 minutes sometimes... More

This is our first time staying here, but we have stayed at other Disney properties. Of course attention to the architectural detail is fantastic, but the furnishings are not comfortable. The pillows are really flat. It's funny because we were waiting at the bus stop and another lodger was complaining about the same thing. We asked at the front desk... More

We absolutely love the WLV. From the moment you walk into the building the wow factor begins. The rooms are very roomy and the balcony is a great way to breathe in that fresh wilderness air. Definitely an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Love this place. Drive in from I-4, Orlando, Disney theme parts and step out of the Florida palm trees, and sand. Arrive at dusk and see white tail deer grazing near the enterance. Tall pines surround the log lodge. The enterance lobby vaults up through great carved log pillars. The stone fireplace is huge. Seating in the lobby to unwind.... More

We stayed in a one-bedroom villa, with our family of five - two adults and three children, ages 6, 4, and 1. It was a roomy enough apartment-type unit, and was well-equipped with microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, and well stocked amenities. Our room was on the ground floor, and we had a nice private patio that looked out into the woods/marsh.... More

The villas are wonderful. In a separate building but not at all far from the main lodge. The walk to the boat launch was far and coming back at night following the path to the villas, the directions end suddenly. After getting lost twice, we just went through the main lodge to return to the villa. We had a one... More

A little back story: Our original trip was to include another family. Since we have been to Disney multiple times and it was going to be the first and possibly only trip for our friends...we decided to let them choose our resort. Explaining the different resort categories offered (Value; Moderate; Deluxe; Deluxe Villas), our friends chose The Wilderness Lodge. Being... More

Another great DVC property that has been kept up very well over the years. I love staying at the Lodge, especially around the holidays. We've never run into a room we didn't like here, except for once. Unless you require a room with features for the mobility impaired, I'd suggest requesting a standard room. While, of course, those rooms are... More

We stayed in a 1 BR Villa in mid-November. Villas building beautiful, pool lovely (was rather busy with the main pool closed, and a lot of floating debris and hair, which was not so lovely). Arcade at main Wilderness Lodge building small and dated compared with other WDW resorts. Roaring Fork seems too small for a resort this size -... More

We are DVC members so we visit Disney World often. We have stayed in the lodge before, but this was our first time in the villas. As usual, the room was clean and well appointed. I know they had just re-done these villas. The one item I would have LOVED is the sleeper chair you can find in some other... More
