Arrived at AKL on 20th March 2008. Quede a long time to allocated a savanah room. No bellboy or any assistance with luggage, room average. Ordered room service food was good. Came down to breakfast on the 21st 7.10 a.m. at Boma, people queing as Boma does not open until 7.30 (parks open at 8.00 a.m) food was very average... More

We spent a week at the Animal Kingdom Lodge during spring break 2008. The hotel came highly recommended, and did not disappoint in any way. We booked two interconnecting rooms with a Savannah view on the Zebra Trail. We took this option over a suite, because it gave us an additional bathroom, and actual beds, rather than a sofa bed... We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge December 6-9, 2007. We picked this resort because we had read so many wonderful reviews of the views. When we arrived here early on December 6, are room was ready, we had a savannah view and what a great view we had. We saw a giraffe and many other animals during our stay.... More

We stayed here in September 2007 and loved it. We had been on International Drive the week previous and then moved to Animal Kingdom Lodge to do Disney. We couldnt ask for anything else, from the moment we drove up the driveway to leaving to go to the airport, everything we wanted was catered for. The staff were brilliant, from... More

This hotel is immaculate considering all of the foot traffic it receives. It is well-maintained and clean! The savannah view is worth the extra money. The animals are quite close. The lobby is gorgeous. Most of the staff was helpful and knowledgable, but be sure you ask the right person. We were sent on a couple of "wild goose chases"... More

For my 30th birthday my dad and I were going to do a safari in Africa but after finding out my dad's vacation time we decided it wasn't worth it. So we decided to do the Disney version of Africa! We also brought my 11 year old niece for her first real visit (1st visit she doesn't remember) to Disney... More

Our family stayed a week at Animal Kingdom Lodge March 6 - 13, 2008. We'd been to Disney four months earlier (we stayed last time at Westgate Towers - see my other reviews) but decided to try Disney accomodations this trip. I'd seen Animal Kingdom Lodge (AKL) on Samantha Brown's Great Hotels show on the Travel Channel and was intrigued... More

The rooms are VERY small. The rooms are clean but tiny. You can see animals out the savana view rooms but really not worth the money. You would be better off going to the Animal Kingdom park to see the same animals.

My partner and I booked a 4 day stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge to celebrate our birthdays (both big years for us!). We decided to splurge and upgrade to the concierge level, figuring that would provide some extra benefits. We used Disney's luggage option where they will pick your luggage up from the airport and deliver the bags to your... More

We went to Disney World in December / 07 for nine nights. The very first night we stayed at one of their All Star Resorts. I would definately not have wanted to stay anymore than that. Not because it was that bad but because it's a completely different experience than staying at a Deluxe level resort. Pulling up to the... More
