In the past we have stayed at Wilderness Lodge (impressive), Polynesian (convenient on monorail), Coronado Springs (armpit of Disney) and this one Animal Kingdom Lodge is our FAVORITE and worth the money. Our 6 yr. old triplets were fascinated every minute watching the giraffes and zebras and ostriches, antelope, and other exotic animals walking around the grounds below our balcony... More

We unfortunately only had one night at this beautiful hotel and it really wasn't enough! This was intended as a first night of luxury treat for our Disney World holiday, and it certainly was. We booked a Savannah View Room and were treated with the amazing view of giraffes and various other animals hanging around outside our window when we... More

We only stayed one night but as with all Disney resorts, I've never had a bad meal there! We got there after dinner time and there was a quick take out kind of restraurant with nice options (full dinner/sandwiches/beer/wine) which was very reasonably priced. I got baked chicken with green beans and potatoes for around $10. We were tired from... More

We had the savannah view. Spent mornings drinking coffee and evenings sipping wine on the balcony while watching the animals. The animals roam free, so it's not like watching them in cages at a zoo. They truly seem to be playing and running around. Clean rooms with excellent service. The lobby was outstanding. Spent some time just exploring the museum... More

Except for the long walk to our room from the lobby, this hotel is awesome! The animals were just outside our balcony, plus you could walk outside and get a closer look at the animals from an observation area. The decor throughout the lodge was interesting and educational. Food was tasty, pool area was nice. Didn't spend a lot of... More

I have been planning a trip to Disney World for over two years and finally went this April. It was so nice to just relax in our room after a long day of Disney. My only complaint is that there were no animals outside our balcony until midnight. I loved this place especially the food at Jiko! The Mara is... More

My boyfriend booked this two week stay as a surprise for me. We visited in May 2015 for two weeks. It was a toss up between here for the Grand Floridian. This wins purely because where else do you get to see giraffe and zebra wander past your balcony? We had a Savannah view room. The first night i have... More

Just got back from a 7 night stay May 19-26,2015. We have previously stayed at Pop Century, Port Orleans Riverside (2 times) Caribbean Beach, Contemporary and Polynesian (for onsite Disney resorts). This is a very beautiful hotel and really no issues- just would not be our first choice again. It is expensive to have the Savannah view rooms- which we... More

Loved our Savanna view studio room. We enjoyed the restaurants, especially Boma. Beautiful surrounding and perfectly themed room, which of course is something Disney is known for. Didn't disapoint. Fun to be so close to the Animal Kingdom, but a bit of a longer bus ride to other Disney parks. Worth it to us though. Lovely pool with plenty shade... More

Our family is a Florida resident and Disney destinations are part of our yearly "turn-off the world's pains" routine. Year after year since they opened these parks in our state, we are perennial visitors staying inside Disney hotels. If we have to choose which hotel is best, it would be difficult to say but we have some favorites off course.... More
