You are paying for atmosphere in the lodge, not really your room. Bathroom so small only room to open the door, and difficult to get around it. Asked for extra towels from housekeeping, found them on the floor outside our room, slightly damp. Asked for extra the next day and got half the amount requested. The laundry is large and... More

You wake up and see a giraffe and zebra in the Savannah below your room and think that you're still dreaming, but you aren't. This is just some of the magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The magical experience begins even before you enter the hotel, being met with the scent of an open fire. Step into the grand lobby... More

The theme of the hotel is great and very fun for kids. Lots happening all around the hotel for them and the animals are the icing on top. The kids loved waking up every morning and heading to the balcony to see which animals were in sight. The Boma restaurant is the only one we tried and it was at... More

While I wasn't crazy about paying the prices, we really wanted to try it. I'm glad we did. We got a low rate with a sale (for there anyway). At check-in I asked nicely, acknowledging our rate probably didn't earn it, if we could get a room where we could see the animals. The clerk was great--extremely friendly. He gave... More

It’s unfortunate that some people did not have such magical times at this resort. I’ve been here twice, once in 2011 for the weekend when I lived in FL in college, and again in 2014 for my birthday. Both stays were incredible – BUT – you MUST pay for the savannah view or there’s no point at all!!! Pool is... More

Ok, first off, for the price this hotel has nothing incredible about it. The front staff we exchanged at our arrival were not very pleasant to talk to, maybe it was because we had been upgraded from Pop Century after a few issues at one of the parks, but if this was the treatment we would've known we would've stayed... Previously had not read good reviews related to value on this property. I don't write 5 points ratings, this is my first. The staff, amenities, room, pool all first class. Of course it helps to spend to have the concierge floor access but I can assure you it's well worth it. A trip of this type is confusing enough, there... More

We stayed in this hotel for 10 days from 9th July - 19th July.We didn't get a Savanna room and I requested a room with a pool view. When we arrived we got room 4486 which had a view of the Savanna and the we were overlooking the Flamingo's. The hotel is amazing. I don't think you will ever get... More

Spent two nights at the lodge in a room overlooking the pool. The room was adequate, the lodge is looking a bit worn now. However it is a very nice place to stay while on Disney. Took buses to all the parks. The pool is large and being able to see animals while being in the pool is always a... More
