The Portofino is such a romantic and relaxing resort. From the second you arrive you feel like you have left Florida and entered a small Italian Village. Everything at the resort is top notch and the service is impecable. This was our first visit and we are already planning to return. Just like everyone else... the ability to use your... more

I stayed with 3 teenage sons over Easter break, the hotel was sold out but it didn't feel crowded. We stayed in a garden room for $300 per night through a special they had at the time. It was definitely a place to put on your walking shoes. As in the photo's you can see it is a big spread... more

We booked one night of our four night Orlando getaway at Portofino Bay just for the privilege of using our room key to bypass the lines for the rides. This was our first time using an express pass of sorts at a theme park, and now we are forever spoiled by that amazing privilege! Bypassing the people in the queues... more

Just returned from a 4 night stay, June 21-25. The grounds are very beautiful and I enjoyed the decor and theme, but it did not satisfy my family's expectations. As many have said, PBR is the quiet and relaxing resort out of the three...to the point of feeling completely dead and isolated alot of the time. The restaurants and shops... more

Property/General - The Lowes Portofino Bay is a great hotel, deserving of its 4-diamond rating. While at no time do you feel like you're actually in Portofino, Italy, you certainly feel miles away from Orlando and the theme parks. Of the three hotels at Universal (Portofino Bay, Royal Pacific, and Hard Rock), the PB is the quieter, more relaxed hotel.... more

This is our second stay at Portofino. The first time we got comped another stay because we had no maid service the whole stay.....This time, we stayed 6 nights. Upon getting our bed ready the first night, I pulled the covers way back, checking to make sure no critters in bed before we got in. (always hear stories, so thought... more

We stayed from June 14 - 20th. We travelled with a 15 yo and 12 yo and we got adjoining rooms. I was so glad we did that, it gave us extra space and alone time and 2 bathrooms. Our room was always cleaned very well. The beds were comfy, the hotel was beautiful. Loved the water taxis. We must... more

We just returned from 4 nights at The Portofino Bay. I have not been to Portofino, Italy, but I am told the hotel is an exact replica right down to the trompe l"oeil. The authentic bocce courts, piazzas, and Italian alleyways are lovely. We had dinner at Bice, (without the kids). Lovely atmoshere and service. Very pricey...the food was good,... more

My family stayed at this hotel for two nights in early June. It is without a doubt a beautiful hotel. I was very impressed with the lobby and grounds. However, upon entering the room I was not thrilled with the size of our upgraded "deluxe" room. I was also discouraged by the level of cleanliness in the bathroom. There was... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at the Portofino. We took the time to look at the other two Universal Resorts while there. Both appeared to be quality resorts, but we appreciated the quiet of the Portofino. With the exception of one day of missing housekeeping, the service was excellent. The toilet was leaking and was fixed right after we... more
