We chose the Port Orleans French Quarter as it is one of the smaller Disney resorts. We have a daughter who is physically challenged, so it was important that she didn't need to walk long distances. The resort is lovely with beautiful landscaping. The pool was great and had a slide that our other daughter loved. The resort is one... More

We have stayed at both Moderate and Deluxe resorts at WDW and you really can't beat the value you get for your money staying at POFQ. Unlike nearby Port Orleans Riverside, the resort is very compact (It accomodates only half as many guests as POR). No room is more than 5-7 min away from the hotel lobby, restaurant and bus... More

We chose this resort based upon many reviews on Trip Advisor. We were looking for a smaller, quieter hotel that still gave us the on site Disney experience. Port Orleans French Quarter delivered. Magic Express was wonderful and we didn't have to think about getting our luggage from the Orlando airport to the hotel, which was great. We were whisked... More

This is a story of some public interest and importance. On my daughter's recent high school senior trip to Disney Orlando, from a school on Long Island New York, several students (including my daughter) were placed in rooms infested with Bed Bugs. A number of them were bitten and their belongings had to be confiscated and fumigated. Many of them... More

This is a very nice property in a great location. There are not a lot of bells and whistles. The property is clean quiet and as a Disney property provides great perks. The kids enjoyed the pool and the morning breakfast was very nice.

Let me preface this by saying that we usually stay at Old Key West because a family member is apart of the DVC. We stayed for two nights on a quick business trip last week at POFQ,and by no means was I expecting it to be anywhere near OKW. The room was pretty standard for what you would find in... More

Stayed here for three days in mid-April. Everything at Disney is first class. We normally stay at Port Orleans Riverside, however, they did not have room. To me, French Quarter doesn't have quite the same ambiance as Riverside but the room quality and amenities are the same. Located right next to Riverside on the Sassagoula River. We enjoy using the... This was our first trip to Disney. We chose the Port Orleans French Quarter because of a friends recommendation and the price was reasonable. The resort met all our expectations. It is a small resort compared to the others I saw. Very convenient getting around. One evening we took the boat to downside Disney ; we didn't have to wait... More

Nice room, great New Orleans theme (but a lot cleaner). Not great transit connections. OK pool for young kids. As it is Disney everything is clean and perfect. Some fun activities for kids. Food on site is nothing special. Nice 2 mile trail for a little exercise along the river. There is a boat connection to Downtown Disney and that... More

The French Quarter is by far our favorite Disney resort. We have now stayed there half a dozen times. It is small enough that no matter which building you are in, you are never too far from the buses or main building. Buildings 4 and 6 were the most convenient though. The staff has always seemed friendly and helpful. We... More
