Looking for a great place to stay while in Disney World...The Shades of Green is located right on the Disney Property and is open to all Military retired or active. We purchased all our attraction tickets and saved a bundle. We even rented our car through them and saved. This year we did not stay on the property but will... More

This resort is a slap on the face for any military family, for only four hundred dollars more I could have stayed in a better resort, here you don't even get a complimentary breakfast. The cost of food, drinks will ruin you. Don't ever want to put my family through this again, only old retires looking for a tea time... More

Visiting Orlando for military business in June, I opted to stay at the SoG because I had never been there before. I eagerly waited for this trip to get underway so I could report back to my family what my stay was like. Check in was flawless and very easy and the lobby was beautifully designed. I was directed to... More

Shades of Green was superb. As retired military I am always looking for the best in service and SOG did not disappoint. Though some other reviews tend to be critical, I cannot agree. The entire staff, from the time we arrived until the time we departed were excellent. We only ate at Evergreens (snack bar) and Garden Gallery while at... More

My husband booked us a stay at this hotel, because it was supposed to be "Military Friendly". We also stayed there with another military family. I was VERY surprised at the extent they go to, to draw in military families, only to rip them off! VERY EXPENSIVE! MILITARY can find A lot cheaper with little research and better hotels. I... More

We enjoyed our week long visit here and cant wait to come back! The property is very well kept and a great value for being on the disney property. The front desk was helpful with all the questions i had. My only major complaint was there is not a microwave in the standard rooms. There is a mini fridge, but... More

Very good and comfortable I really liked the house cleaning is very good, but I have to say that should include the Internet and free parking because I never saw security in the parking lot and they charge $ 5.00 per day, I heard loud in the halls during rest hours, after this everithing else is good.

If you are/were military or are traveling to Disneyworld with someone who is, this is an excellent location. The hotel has all the amenities: multiple pools, restaurants, golf and inside the Disney complex. Transportation to and from the parks was a breeze--no car needed. Our package included discount Park Hopper and 2 meals at the buffet restaurant in the hotel.... More

Having stayed at Shades of Green numerous times, I always find this hotel to be a very good place to stay. This time the housekeeping staff seemed much improved. My room was very clean. I really liked the breakfast buffet. Besides the usual eggs, bacon, good pork sausage, they had other hot choices every day. Some were better than others... More

After reading some of the reviews on trip advisor, we were a little skeptical. Rooms were huge, beds were comfortable. The ease of getting around the property was great. The AAFES store was a life saver, and had very reasonable prices. We had the salute package that was breakfast and dinner. The food was ok, but we were so hungry... More
