This is an excellent hotel on beautiful grounds within an outstanding location. As for access to Disney World, this hotel enables you to take advantage of the Magic Hour, which allows you early access to most of the parks. SoG even has its own shuttle service, so you do not have to rely on Disney's service. The rooms are large... More

Shades of Green caters to military families and Government employees. MIT is located on the Disney property within a 5 minute walk to the Disney Polynesian and monorail. The room rate is based on rank or pay scale. The hotel is big, rooms are clean and fairly modern. The pool is suitable for small kids but adults wouldn't make a... More

Our visit to SOG and Disney was fabulous. We have stayed at SOG before and love how they have improved. The buffet at The Garden Gallery is excellent, I recommend the Wing Bar! The pools are wonderful and we look forward to the Mill Pond pool area upgrade.

Our son has been to Disneyworld more than a dozen times. We have been blessed to stay on several concierge floors, a Bay Lake Towers villa, and two presidential suites as gifts. We'll take the SOG. Four of our visits have been here. And yes, food choices ARE limited mid day. And we think the front desk staffer quality is... More

The price is far less than disney hotels. You can still use club Disney at Polynesian and head back over to mangios for date night. You dont need a reservation and even though we didnt change after the parks you can still dress casual with no dress code. The blue cheese dressing is the best I have had. I have... More

I have been trying to stay at this resort for years. I finally had the pleasure of staying at shades of green with my family. This had to e the best resort from top to bottom that I have stayed at while visiting Disney. I have only visited Disney 3 times but this was the best. From the room to... More

We could not have been more pleased with our experience at Shades of Green. We spent a week there and, having stayed at a Disney property before, can not fathom ever doing so again. SOG has our business and recommendation for the foreseeable future. The lobby is neat, clean, and with ample space for groups to sit and even a... More

We have stayed at Shades of Green twice now and both experiences have been extremely pleasant. When you first arrive, the gate guard always checks Ids which keeps some of the riff-raff and excess traffic out. The grounds are nice and well-kept. When you pull up to the front entrance, the bellman comes straight out to take your belongings and... More

Recently stayed at Shades of Green and it was wonderful. The rooms were comfortable and the food at Manginos was fantastic. Highly recommend the calamari which is fresh and made to order. Was even able to see the kitchen prep it so I know it was fresh. Kids loved the arcade and the main swimming pool. Great value for the... More

You must be military to stay here, so be warned. I am not a fan of most "military only" establishments. If I'm vacationing, I don't want to be around a bunch of high and tights! But this place was truly awesome! The price was half of what the other Disney (ripoff) resorts were, and offered all the same amenities, plus... More
