Myne Resort is a great location for wildlife - over our 2 days we saw: a family of orang-utans; proboscis monkeys; macaques; a herd of elephants; 4 species of hornbill; eagles; owls; crocodiles; monitor lizards; otter; and much more. The local bat cave (Gomantong) at midday was a disappointment: lots of bats (and nesting swifts), but mostly cockroaches - I'm... More

Overall a great experience. The river cruse is an amazing experience, we managed to see all the animals but the elephants and the guides are prepared and impeccable spotters. Sepilok orangutans sanctuary and the cave are also worth it. The hotel is not the greatest structure, especially the bathroom. With a few adjustments the quality would definitely improve. That said,... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and wished it could have been longer. The people that run this resort are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The wooden chalets are spacious and clean, equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, clean hot water showers, coffee and tea facilities and balconies. Each chalet is located within the trees, we... More

We stayed here for two nights and found the staff to be wonderful and the hotel chalets lovely. The setting on the edge of the river bank is stunning a great place to relax, enjoy drinks and dinner. The food was very good and depending on he number of guests was either buffet or served individually. There was water and... More

Sabah is all about wildlife and what better place to watch wildlife! For a start, this wooden chalet style resort is on the river. Reception is good and the reception area and staff are excellent! I walked into a great buffet style lunch and the waiters and the little, charming waitresses were very attentive. All meals were excellent with variations... More

I adored my stay here at Myne. The chalets overlook the river and I was lulled to sleep by silence, occasionally interspersed with animal noises. The river cruises were amazing. We saw a wild orang-utan munching on wild mango within 5mins of being on the boat. Such a variety of wildlife to be seen! The staff were so lovely and... More

Had a fantastic 2 night stay here whilst exploring the Kinabatangan river. Chalets are clean, spacious and comfortable with balconies overlooking the river. The air conditioning was also a big bonus given the scorching weather, I would not have liked to stay at a place without it there! Staying so deep into the jungle I thought the accommodation would be... More

You are in the wild jungle and here to see wildlife. It helps when you can also retreat back to an air conditioned chalet overlooking the river and an affordable Tiger Beer in the heat of the day. Our family, with three kids under 12, stayed in adjoining chalets 12 and 13. It was the reason we came to Borneo... More

Just stayed here for 3 day 2 nights (six in our group). Were picked up from Four Point Sheraton in Sandakan at 8am by our driver who turned out to be our guide for the whole time, including the boat trips and jungle walk. The drive takes around 2.5 hours. We stopped at the Sepilok Orangutan sanctuary on the way... More

We stayed 2n/3D in this lovely jungle resort in june 2014. Everything was perfect. We had a villa (nr10) facing the river. The villa was very big, clean and had airco and even tv and a balcony. The staff was very polite and friendly. The food was ok, but remember you are in the jungle. The boattrips (2x at 16.00 h...
