I stayed at the "Myne Resort”, which is actually on the Kinabatangan River, for two nights on a group tour and enjoyed it immensely. The setting was superb, our stay was all inclusive and we did not have to drive anywhere. All our travelling was done on a high speed narrow boat or on foot. On arrival we had to... More

What a great place to base yourself to see all the wildlife of the kinabatangan river area. Up to 4 river cruises a day, only down side was a numb bum. But more than very happy on the knowledge of the guides it was excellent. We were also lucky enough to see wild orangutans just behind the resort, mother and... More

And that is not a bad thing. Resort was well-positioned for our river cruiese, food was good considering the logistics of getting fresh food there. Rooms were good even though quite a few ants in the bathroom and a few other creatures but what do you expect - it is in the middle of the rainforest! Wildlife was excepional, saw... More

We were pretty much the only guests staying when we were there so were made to feel special. We stayed on the 3D2N package booked through Dive Downbelow and had a personal guide for the whole trip, and even had our own boat for our river cruises. The lodge and rooms have beautiful views over the river. We saw so... More

Now I understand that this is in the 'jungle' but it is not as remote as you would think in reality so no huge excuse for being so basic. It was part of a package that we arranged with an agent so not sure of the exact price but looking at their website it was not that cheap. Arrived and... More

We had a two night stay which also included 4 river cruises and a jungle walk where we were lucky enough to sight a crocodile, elephants, Orangatan, otters, birds, large lizard, weird fish and many, many, many monkeys. One of the great highlights of our Sabah adventure.

This is a super place to stay for one or two nights in the jungle. We stayed two nights and saw everything we wanted to - including about 45 minutes very close with the Pygmy elephants. Bear in mind the facilities are fairly basic but the rooms are huge and clean. There's a nice decking area for sitting around. Food... More

We chose to do only a day trip from sandakan as we had accommodation already pre booked. It was a long journey but it was worth it! We went with myne travel as they offered the best price for 4 people even better than the sea view backpackers which was stated in a blog. We paid 180RM per person and... More

We arrived with our guide Bakar. He was excellent and very knowledgeable. We stayed two nights and enjoyed four trips on the river morning and afternoon, a walk in the jungle near the hotel, and visited the Gomantong Cave - an interesting visit! The hotel has a relaxing atmoshpere and you are made very welcome. The food was excellent. The... More

We were the only guests for one night and there was only one other small group the second night. We had booked the 2 night 3 day package through diving down below and everything was done very efficiently . The accomodation was far better that expected or from the pictures. Food was good but we were individually served . Our... More
