Super food, wi-fi and clean rooms make this a comfortable stay. Located in scenic wooden chalets next to the Kinabatangan river. We loved it!

If you want to visit Kinabatangan this is a good place to stay. It takes about an hour by boat to get here. The chalets are huge and clean. The food is very good. There's an internet connection as well. I think it is pretty expensive (800 RM for one night) but worth the money. I was a bit disappointed to... More

We booked a 3.days, 2 nights tour by Amazing Borneo Tours, Kota Kinabalu, a tour operator that proved to be reliable, well organized and very service-oriented. The guide Mr. TAN was excellent. Well-informed, good communicator yet not always talking. The lodge is located on big river Kinabatangan. There is an open area with reception and restaurant. The bungalows are built... More

We arrived at Bilit yesterday after travelling from the Borneo Rainforest Lodge (which was amazing). Our guide was very friendly and was knowledgable on the area and wildlife. We were made to carry our baggage to our rooms and there was no welcome from staff. Rooms were ok. We had a rest as we were very tired from our journey... More

My boyfriend and I recently spent two nights at the Bilit Rainforest Lodge. A very friendly driver/guide picked us up from the Sandakan Yacht Club and took us to the Gomantong Caves, stopping on the way to buy us three bags full of seasonal tropical fruit! On the way to the caves we were also lucky enough to spot a... More

My wife and I spent two days/nights at Bilit Rainforest Lodge. Our cabin was extremely spacious, and the airconditioning worked. The staff was gracious and always helpful. Food was OK (what more do you expect in the bloody middle of nowhere?) And the wine and beer prices were extremely reasonable compared with elsewhere in East Malaysia. The lodge is relatively... We stayed here for 2 nights & the chalets were large, comfortable with a great porch to relax in. The staff were friendly & it was more like staying at a friend's house than a lodge. Being in the jungle be prepared to see ants, geckos & insects everywhere. Food was average except when a large group of European retirees... More

The Bilit Rainforest Lodge is well accessable by road. The last 10 minutes of the trip are to cross the Kinabatangan River. Cabins are spacious, clean, and airconditioned. Yet they give the sensation of sleeping inside the jungle. Elephants come (witnessed by droppings and footprints) right up to the cabins. Very nice verandas! Get a beer from the beer, and... More

Spacious bungalow complete with huge balcony. We found balcony very pleasant for sitting out at night (unlike previous review, our light was fine for reading). Although eating area and balcony are open to insects, there are also friendly bats who swoop in and devour the mozzies (apart from one night when we had torrential rain). Good variety of food at... We were on a two night/three day package at the BRL, and it was everything we expected of it. The large veranda’d lodge rooms, on stilts, were clean, with good bathrooms and fan/aircon; quite adequate, if, as we’ve found in similar lodges elsewhere, impossibly underlit if you wanted to read. There was an impossibly complicated solar shower which we couldn’t... More
