I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Blue Spring National Park. The room was clean. We needed extra towels and the night clerk brought them to our room. I was visiting family in Deland and needed somewhere close to stay. Orange City (and this hotel) was about 10 minutes away. Front Desk - Checked in after 10 p.m. and had no problem with the front desk staff. They were very helpful, especially considering I booked the room for the wrong day. The Comfort Inn in Orange City was a wonderful surprise!! The desk clerks were smiling and accomodating. This hotel is okay. It is clean and offers a continental breakfast. Beds aren't bad either. You also get about 80 channels. The reason I am giving a three opposed to a five is because of the safe fee. They put a safe in your room and charge you 1.50 per night regardless whether you use it or not. Throw... more

I was very disappointed in the condition of this hotel. While the grounds were well-kept, the rooms themselves were in need of a face-lift. Also, there was always a bad odor in the air. The air conditioner needs attention. I will choose a different hotel next time. more
