My wife and I had a short break staying at this character property, which has been sympathetically modernised. We were very well looked after from arrival to departure, with great food, companionable hosts and spacious accommodation.

Our stay here couldn't have been any better! We stayed 4 nights and were sad when it was time to leave. James and Tricia are the most kind and friendly people and were very helpful trying to find times for trains or entrance fees to local castles, gardens etc. and we truly enjoyed chatting with our English hosts. We felt... More

I stay here regularly as I am sometimes at Brands Hatch. Yes it’s more expensive than the other places, but then again, it’s a LOT better than the other places. I’ll be there again this year. Tricia and James do a superb job.

My mother and I stayed here for five nights and had a great time. Tricia and James gave us a warm welcome on arrival and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Tricia kindly volunteered to book our dinner reservations each night and assisted with suggestions of good pubs and restaurants in the area. We stayed in the downstairs room which... More

I enjoyed a short break here last week and could not have asked for a better stay. Tricia and James were exceptional hosts, extending a very warm welcome and making sure I had everything I could possibly need. The room was spotless and had that wonderful country cottage feel to it, and the surrounding scenery was just breathtaking. I'd fully... More

I was welcomed with a very warm greeting from Tricia who quickly showed me to my room & made me a fresh pot of tea. Very helpful when I asked for somewhere to eat an evening meal, nothing was too much. The only negative thing I found was the room doors do not lock with a key & once your... More

The Hosts Tricia and James were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were warm and spotlessly clean and well equipped. Set in a beautiful part if the country. Perfect place for a weekend getaway. I would definitely stay again.

I must admit, it may have been operator error on the "hard to find" part, so don't hold that against the place. Myself, my wife, and 3-year old daughter took a two week holiday to the United Kingdom, and stayed in 11 different places. Although this didn't make our Top 3 list, it received honorable mention as a close fourth.... More

Tricia and James, the hosts, were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We are a family of four visiting the area for relocation and despite the fact that we were coming and going throughout the day Tricia always welcomed us back with the offer of a tea or coffee. It felt like coming home at what was a potentially... More

This B&B was excellent quality. Tricia and James the owners were lovely, helpful and very accommodating and had no problem with us arriving late back from a wedding. The room was very nice and the breakfast was excellent. I would certainly go there again.
