I wasn't expecting much, just a place to sleep for the night on the way to my destination, but I was pleasantly surprised with the Travelodge.

The Travelodge is just across the street from Lake Okeechobee (you can't see the lake from the hotel though,you have to walk across the street and up a small incline) just off Hwy 441, about 5 miles south of "Downtown" Okeechobee. The location is super quiet, and I heard no street noise in the night.

The room I had (and I hear all of them are the same) had a full kitchen with Microwave, Stove, Sink, Fridge and Freezer. All of these were full size, not the tiny ones you usually get in hotels. You also get a nice oversized chair (like one you'd have in a living room) a full sized sofa/sofabed and a queen bed. The bed was quite comfortable/firm and I appreciated the nice large pillows. I used the free WiFi internet in my room, had a fast connection and never lost it.
