We stayed at the Sandlewood Resort 7/4/08 and lasted about an hour before leaving. The staff was absolutely rude, and I have never been treated so poorly in my life. We booked a suite with a total of 4 people. The hotel staff refused to provide us parking, and additional towels. When we complained to the lady at the desk,... more

Stayed at this hotel 3 nites June 2008. It is in North Redington next to Double Tree. I love these kinds of hotels - from the 50's or 60's. 3 story with elevator. We had an oceanfront efficiency on 3rd floor overlooking beach with huge balcony - 2 lounges, table and 4 chairs. The staff were friendly and anxious to... more

This is an older complex - Clean and On the Beach! It is great to have affordable beach front complexes. So many places are very expensive and make it hard to have a family vacation or a nice get away - you can do that at the Sandalwood. If you're looking for luxury, this isn't it. But, if you're looking... more

I have stayed at this hotel for 20 years. Recently the hotel has become run down and is in need of repair. I have been a law enforcement officer for 15 years and was cursed out by the staff for my 7 yr old child having a float in the pool. I will never stay at this hotel again and... more

Although this is a 50's vintage building, it has charm and character. After checking nearby accomodations I found this to be the bargain of the year. You can stay next door at the Double Tree and pay 3 times the amount and get a room facing the road. Take my advice, if you go to the Sandalwood, spring for the... more

The Sandalwood was just a great place to stay, let alone at a price that families can afford and that budget travelers will love. Although a dated property with it's own charm, it is clean and well decorated. If you want more luxury, the Doubletree next door, at 2x or more the price is for you. Staying here though, you... more

Sandalwood is very relaxed and very family oriented. The pool is great just what my daughter loves with enough sun to keep mom happy. Sand castles and shell hunting just steps away with 5 Major league spring training sites within 25 miles for me. The building is older like a Fifties style hotel. Clean but older. The staff has always... more

We recently stayed at the Sandalwood and was very impressed. Although it's an older facility and rather small the rooms, pool (heated) and grounds were immaculate. There is a beautiful beach and it's great not to have to cross the street to get to it. Staff were very helpful and friendly - eager to please. The efficiency we stayed in... more

Pleased to say we had a good stay. The price was very reasonable. The pool was heated and the beach was nice. We were lucky the weather was beautiful. It sure beats paying 150 a night - perhaps those complaining are expecting a new place. It is older but thankfully it was clean and we had no problems. we will... more

We were very pleased with our stay. From reading other reviews, they must have gotten new management or something because everyone was friendly to us. We had a good experience with the Sandalwood. The rooms were clean -no problems- our efficency had a kitchen. The complex is smaller , like 40 or 50 rooms and an older complex but it... more
