I have been to the Sandalwood before, many times in fact. I was so shocked at the changes that go on at night after 9:00 pm. They have security people that patrol the pool deck telling you that you can cannot sit by the pool deck or even in front of your room (that you paid for). I was so... More

Our family stayed at this resort and the female evening security called the police one evening. Our family members were outside of their rooms smoking and speaking. Not swimming, On Saturday evening, she informed family they could not smoke outside their room, they must go to the beach. My mother who is over 70 was intimidated by this security guard and... More

Not a good stay at all. We are used to staying at the Great Heron Inn at Indian Rocks Beach and figured this older, "mom and pop" hotel would be similar to the wonderful stays we have had at Great Heron Inn.....NOT SO! Had I known this was an old hotel converted to condos that are rented on an individual... More

We live in Tampa, but always take a vacation to the Beach. This year we went to the Sandalwood We had heard about it ,but never stayed there. Now we know where we will spend a lot of time. It was wonderful. We had a great room number 357 poolside, but a beach view and could watch the sunsets from... More

I love Sandlewood. I was there from June 14th- June 22 nd and loved every moment of it. Ron is by far my favorite employee however, everyone there is great. It is a family place and because the pool is set in the middle with the rooms all facing the pool, they have to cut the noise off at 9.... More

Stayed in room 114 and by far the worst stay ever. Nancy at front desk is rude and has zero customer service etiquette. The room was dirty bedspreads were dusty, unwashed, pillows stained yellow very badly. I very nicely asked Nancy of she could replace my pillow and she flat out told me I shouldn't complain because there's nothing she... More

The location is excellent! But it all goes downhill from there. While the units are small, they do have most of everything one needs for a vacation home away from home. The walls are thin, you can hear the toilet flush in the next room & people walking in the room above. While pool rules are important for all guests... More

We pride our resort on how clean our room are kept. We have a great housekeeping staff. We don't have any mold in any of our rooms. In the summer months it does get loud as we have alot of families with children and the pool is surrounded by rooms. Guest come to the beach to have a good time... More

Let me start this by saying, I have nothing wrong with the hotel or rooms. Having a large family spread out across the state and country we meet up through the year for mini vacations. Some of us travelled 100 miles others 2000. Being a large group we rented 7 rooms. When we arrived everything was fine as it had... More

Our room is really in need of updates. No outlets in the kitchen area and one drawer face is broken. None of the remotes work for the TV's. The master bathroom's shower's drain is nasty and the shower head is broken. The door to get in the room is right by the elevator. This room is not pool side or... More
