The rooms were as expected, we stayed in 353. The entire place was a little wore out but it was pretty clean and we only needed a place to keep our food, shower, and sleep. We weren't there to admire the room. Once I learned we had to stay in our rooms after 9 ( talking echoes over the pool... More

Not for the snobby, but clean and comfortable and close to everything. it's not the Ritz but when you come to Florida you come for the beach I hope. If you came for premium amenities you should have stayed in North Dakota.

This hotel is a gem for the price. If you want a high-end hotel then you will hate it here. It is laid back and comfortable but definitely no "glitz." Most of the rooms have been remodeled. The location to the beach is fantastic and it is right next door to the Doubletree Resort so you can go sit at... More

I grew up at this resort. My family would go for spring break year after year and we never had a bad experience. Location is great and beach is amazing! As long as Sandalwood is there, we will continue to come to Redington Beach!

We just returned from another great stay at the Sandalwood. When I read the reviews below I thought maybe things had changed, but they haven't. No it is not a brand new hotel, but it is kept clean and you can't beat the location. All of the front desk personnel were very helpful and kind to us, even printing out... More

I have been to the Sandalwood before, many times in fact. I was so shocked at the changes that go on at night after 9:00 pm. They have security people that patrol the pool deck telling you that you can cannot sit by the pool deck or even in front of your room (that you paid for). I was so... More

Our family stayed at this resort and the female evening security called the police one evening. Our family members were outside of their rooms smoking and speaking. Not swimming, On Saturday evening, she informed family they could not smoke outside their room, they must go to the beach. My mother who is over 70 was intimidated by this security guard and... More

Not a good stay at all. We are used to staying at the Great Heron Inn at Indian Rocks Beach and figured this older, "mom and pop" hotel would be similar to the wonderful stays we have had at Great Heron Inn.....NOT SO! Had I known this was an old hotel converted to condos that are rented on an individual... More

We live in Tampa, but always take a vacation to the Beach. This year we went to the Sandalwood We had heard about it ,but never stayed there. Now we know where we will spend a lot of time. It was wonderful. We had a great room number 357 poolside, but a beach view and could watch the sunsets from... More

I love Sandlewood. I was there from June 14th- June 22 nd and loved every moment of it. Ron is by far my favorite employee however, everyone there is great. It is a family place and because the pool is set in the middle with the rooms all facing the pool, they have to cut the noise off at 9.... More
