Stayed three nights in January 2016, in the Sunflower cottage. First, the pros - staff was helpful and friendly. The location is optimal - a short walking jaunt to the best of Captiva beaches, to multiple restaurants, to really all stores on Captiva, and to the Captiva Cruise dock. Parking was good - there were spots right in front of... More

Daisy Cottage-Quirky and quaint but probably not a place you'd want to rent if you are looking for a nicer accommodation. It's not updated at all. Would work if you just need a place to sleep and shower. The bed is comfortable and the space is adequate for two. Nice little porch. Reminds me a bit of a shed with... More

this was the third time we visited this property. Apparently new owners. First room smelled so bad like urine we had to move to another room. The next room was so musty, moldy and dirty that we ourselves had to go buy bleach to clean the mold. The AC screen we had to take out and clean because of the smell... More

If the restaurant wasn't so great, I would have given even fewer stars. Overpriced for basically a small apartment. I hope they use the money I paid to buy some paint, at least. I rarely leave a bad review but this place needs WORK. The check in clerk was neither friendly nor helpful. The key barely fit in the door.... More

Emailed the Inn several weeks in advance of our stay requesting (in addition to lodging) overnight parking for a truck and kayak trailer in order to do a multi-day kayak trip around Pine Island. Our reservation request was accepted, but after repeated phone calls and emails I still couldn't get an answer about parking. We showed up at the Inn... More

My friend, her son, my daughter and myself stayed here back in June 2015. We stayed in the Hibiscus house in the rear. It was a really cute beach cottage - painted in pretty lively colors. The cottage had a living room, dining area, kitchen, large bathroom, big bedroom and closet. We had a deck sitting area out front too,... More

We arrived to a dirty, run down, obsolete spot on a beautiful island. The AC unit was extremely loud and banged on and off all night long. The bathroom was disgusting and to top it off at 6:45 AM the septic truck arrived outside our door and pumped crap for the next hour. The smell and sound was disgusting.

This stay in the main house was perfect! My gal pal and I needed a clean place with a big bathroom (getting ready for a wedding) big comfortable bed, a short walk to the beach, a pool for a short workout, and crab cakes benedict for breakfast. Captiva Island Inn delivered. We had access to a kitchen and iron/ironing board.... More
