Pricey and not as well appointed as other places I have stayed but they made up for it with their flexibility for a late check-out and full breakfast in the morning. We stayed in one of the cottages. There were mosquitos in the room, which probably made their way in every time the door was opened. Our only real complaint... More

We stayed in the Hibiscus Cottage. Awesome location in the heart of Captiva, steps from ocean and great restaurants, which all have a Caribbean/Beach atmosphere. Not stuffy, very informal (no need to bring high heels, ladies!!). If you're a Clean Freak, you'll need to relax a little... the important things were clean (bedding, shower, kichen, etc), but the finer points... More

This hotel is so cute. It's a little dated inside, but very clean. We had a 2 bdr. cottage, with a little kitchen and family room. It included a full breakfast each morning as well, with a choice of 2 cafe's, which were both yummy. It was perfect for our little getaway, and walking distance to almost everything on Captiva... Dirty and the mattress was so stained it was a disgrace they were renting it out! Ok was on Andy Rosse and very close to the beach but come on even third world countries have better bedding! Walk to area restaurants and Murky Duck was good. Breakfast was nice and we liked the service very much!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, the "sofa sleeper" mattresses that come with the sofa are not very comfortable.. We have replaced ALL sofa sleeper mattresses with top of the line memory foam mattresses that have been designed to fit sofa sleepers. More

We stayed here for a couple of days in February 2015. We loved it! Very clean and gorgeous rooms! If you want a very laid back vacation, this is the place to stay. Walking distance to everything. The beach, the marina, restaurants, shops, etc. Captiva Island is now officially my favorite place to stay in Florida (and I have been... More

Just came back from Spring Break with my daughter. We had the Rosebud suite. Small cabin with very comfy queen size bed and pull out sofa. Small refrigerator & microwave in room. Bathroom was very small and very dark- no light in the shower so when you closed the curtain you could not see in there! I thought the value... More

We stayed here last night to celebrate our anniversary on Captiva Island. It was our first time on the island and we very much liked the cottage that we rented. The bed was comfortable and the room bright. It had a nice porch where we were able to rest and read, while looking onto the local walking traffic to the... More

We arrived two days early for our reservation and therefore spent the night in two different rooms before our stay in the room we originally booked. We were happy they were able to accommodate our early arrival! Interestingly, our perceptions changed with each move! We spent the first night in the Mimosa cottage. It was an uncomfortable chilly night! The... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience at the Captiva Inn, unfortunately the first night of your stay with us was record breaking cold temperatures. We provide space heaters for those occasional nights, but understand they have a limited capability. The Inn has several room types, we are glad that you enjoyed the Celebration... More

We spent 4 nights here in December before moving into our condo on Sanibel. We rented the Hibiscus Cottage and really enjoyed our stay here. Great little old-style Florida cottage. We enjoyed the free breakfasts included and usually went to our favourite, KeyLime Bistro, to cash them in. We will be back again!

From the moment I opened the door I was pleasantly surprised. It was nicely furnished and decorated. The bed and bath were comfortable & clean. We shared the living room and modern kitchen with a nice couple from Minnesota. We enjoyed breakfast at RC Otter. I regret not trying Key Lime Bistro. It's conveniently located near the beach, restaurants, marina,... More
