Our family of four just spent an outstanding afternoon fishing with Captain Jim at the 'Tween Waters marina. We had been relaxing and enjoying an unstructured morning of breakfast and exploration on Captiva when, on a whim, we called the marina to ask about availability of a fishing charter. As luck would have it, a cancellation had just occurred and... More

This is our 3rd trip to Tween Waters, and each year gets better and better. They are continually upgrading the property. I like the Old Florida Charm, and it definitely has that "beachy, islandy feel". You never even have to leave the resort if you don't want to. The food is excellent, and the free buffet is great and suffices.... More

For some reason the resort felt it was necessary to remove the carpet from the room above us. One might have thought that this was planned and that no one would be given the adjoining rooms. After all the materials had to be ordered. The resort was not full. Wrong! The noise went on all afternoon. The food was very... More

spent two days here october '14,we elected to have a standard room overlooking the beach, lst room had a smell, but reception soon changed us like for like.Felt perhaps furnishings were a little tired, would have liked to have seen the more expensive accom on offer. The most pleasant surprise was the restaurant on the evening, fine dining was promised and that was what... More

This is a beautiful place to stay on Captiva, but they definitely need to hire a chef. The food at the restaurant is very bad, and expensive. All four in our party were extremely disappointed with our dinners. The servers were prompt and courteous.

Captiva is a small island, and this resort is located on a thin stretch of sand between the gulf of Mexico and the inter coastal sound. The rooms are traditional hotel fare, but well maintained and comfortable. Cross the main road to a massive beach - comfortable lounging chairs, and soft surf. The pool on the sound side is massive,... More

I was traveling solo to attend a Mah Jongg tournament that was being held at Tween Waters for the weekend. When I arrived, I decided to go over to the large beautiful pool area to enjoy a drink (generously poured I might add) and to have lunch. Don't miss out on the carribean jerk chicken salad with macadamia nuts, and... More

My husband and I spent four days at Tween Waters. It was our first visit and we have already made reservations for next year. We loved the combination of the old Florida feel and the excellent restaurants. The property was decorated for Christmas and Captiva's Luminary Night was on Saturday, so it was a festive time to visit. Friday night... More

Skip the big hotel chains and stay here! The check in reminded me of days gone by with the small office manned by one person...no glizt. He welcomed me by name. Various accommodations available for staying. We rented a three bedroom suite overlooking the Bay in back and gulf view in front! Our suite is newly updated and very clean.... More

We stayed at TWI several times and always enjoyed the relaxing environment. ML was very friendly and takes a personal interest in both the property and guest comfort. Good service. At the bridge onto Captiva, there are so many shells that have been washed up on the shore that they are several feet deep. Wonderful.
