We booked this at the last minute for an end-of-summer vacation. We've always stayed on Sanibel and wanted to try Captiva in general and this resort specifically. I have to say it was exactly what we wanted. We stayed in a Marina room - 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and dining area, living room, screened in balcony overlooking the marina... More

At the end of July, we stayed in one of the tennis villas at South Seas Resort on Captiva. We were very excited because we heard wonderful things about this resort. Upon check-in, our front desk agent was less than thrilled to be assisting us. We told him that we had never been to the resort and were happy to... More

Our trip started with a request for a king bed having been messed up. If you book on South Seas site it takes you to booking.com. Our reservation clearly stated two adults. However, somehow the hotel had us listed as two adults and two children, two queen beds and a pull out double! We also, saw on their reservation that... More

We stayed at South Seas for our honeymoon this past weekend and could not have asked for a better location and staff! The staff was helpful and always had a smile on their face. I liked that instead of having to pay cash for food/drinks, you could use your room card and pay for it at the end of your... More

Stayed in August, not worth the money they charge. Registration staff was very rude an arrogant. This is not my 1st experience with them - I went a year ago to check it out but they would not even let me see the grounds. Decided to stay and booked their oceanview room with balcony on the north end. The view... More

We had a wonderful holiday at South Seas ; this is a stunning location combined with great service and quality accomodation. The beaches are quite remarkable and are teaming with wildlife. The sea is just as amazing - dolphins, manates sync starfish were all over the place.

This resort was great, the staff was helpful and the condos are very nice. We stayed in the beach villas, they were clean and the view was terrific. The hard part is not paying with cash everything you do goes on your room card, not the way we usually do things , but not horrible. This time of year was... More

We traveled to South Seas from Sarasota for a 3 night weekend with very close friends to celebrate a special anniversary in addition to escaping reality while dealing with a family illness. This was a first trip to Captiva for all of us. We stayed in the Marina Villa's and loved the location. We had a view of the end... More

We were looking for a relaxing beach vacation and found it here. The surroundings are beautiful and very relaxed. The resort is very large and we stayed in the tennis villas which is at the extreme opposite end of the pools, harbor and fitness center. It's a short walk to the beach where the resort has a small strip of... More

I don't think we would go back. We went here for a family vacation with neighbors. The beaches are nice but no different than really any other beach in Florida. If you stay at South Seas and intend on staying on the property for the duration, then expect to pay excessively for entertaining yourself with one of their "amenities" of... More
