The marketing for your property is quite good, however I should have held the tripadvisor comments from previous guests with more regard. The resort was once probably quite nice. We found it to be in need of many things. Service was the biggest concern of ours, there was none. Lauren at the front desk was useless in our check in.... More

Stayed here for a week in April 2014 and loved the room and location to the beach. The sunsets were beautiful each night and if you have an ocean facing room you won't regret it. I would definitely suggest buying groceries (near the airport if you can) to save money as the resort food prices are a bit high and... More

Overall, we had a wonderful trip! The grounds are lovely and the staff is very friendly. We all enjoyed the beach and pools. The resort wildlife at the marina was spectacular! The crowds much better then Sanibel. We stayed in a Beach Villa which was fine, but more of a condo. The bedroom was a bit box like without any... More

My family and I just visited Southseas for our spring break. We were SO excited for our trip to Captiva. I wish it had lived up to our expectations. From the moment we arrived, I kept saying to my children 'you haven't seen it all yet' and 'it's going to get better.' It never did. The grounds, while beautiful, could... More

Unfortunately, although we truly enjoyed the natural landscape on Captiva, on the whole we were quite disappointed with the accommodations and food at SSIR. The room was nowhere near what one should expect at $550./nt-- shoddy construction, poor housekeeping, uncomfortable beds, fluorescent lighting (in broken lamps), food left in refrigerator from previous guests-- and so on. More like a Super... More

This is a large resort that has an impressive website. The rooms are not as described and also, the reservation specialist was evasive about our reservation. First, I asked for a villa with laundry. I was told there was laundry on site. This did not mean laundry in our villa, it meant that there are old laundry pay machines provided... More

Low rent .........says it all. The staff mean well I think but are in no hurry. The place is very expensive but old and unloved. There are plenty better places to spend your hard earned cash. They certainly do their best to screw as much money as possible from you. Manager don't bother to reply with your usual copy and... More

South Seas Island Resort is made up of six interval ownership areas/associations, a number whole ownership condos, and privately held homes (I'm an interval owner since 96 with 4 deeded weeks). The only rental property on the Resort actually owned by the resort is the hotel (Harborside Village) located near the marina and tee dock. If you rent any "room"... More

My fiancé and I were guests at this resort from 3/4-3/10. We stayed in a Gulf Cottage which was very spacious. The cottage had two bedrooms on the main level and one bedroom in the loft area on the second level. We had a fully equipped kitchen and a screened in balcony. The cottage was very comfortable and the best... More

Thank you for staying at South Seas Island Resort. When you return, you'll be able to enjoy our new fitness center that opened at North Pointe in late March. I also recommend visiting Sunset Beach, North Pointe, for a great beach experience that includes watersports, a beach bar, volleyball, hammocks, and beach toys. Thanks again and we look forward to... You would think that $615 per night would almost guarantee a spectacular room and world class service. I guess not. Not only was the room not ready at 4pm check-in, when it finally became ready at 6pm, the lock was defective (key cards did not work and required complete installation of a new door lock system), the condition of the...
