I stayed in a 3 bedroom villa at South Seas "Resort" in June 2014. To say the villa was outdated and dirty would be an understatement. We literally found trash in our rooms, dead bugs, and more. Our rooms were not serviced/cleaned at all during our three night stay and it didn't look to be cleaned before we arrived either.... More

This was our families second trip to South Seas. We were here July 2013 and July 2014. We stayed in Beach home 32 both visits. We were very happy with our stay last year, however this year we are disappointed. The overall quality has decreased and it appears as if South Seas is under new management and doing a poor... More

We have visited Captiva/Sanibel with family and friends in the past and have stayed at vacation home rentals. This time around, it was just my husband and I - a weekend get-away. He loves golf, I love the beach, it sounded perfect. The website is very well done and we had also driven by (in the past) and it looked... More

We had a great time at South Seas Resort...stayed in the beach cottages which are not really cottages, but a group of 4-8 plexes. The beach was right out the back door about 300 yards, which we loved, but amenities were not. You have to hike down the beach to rent a chair/umbrella that can be used on the beach... More

Captiva is now our favorite "relax vacation" spot! It is a beautiful, relaxing getaway! We stayed at the plantation Beach Club right on the beach and was only a few steps from the gulf. The awesome sunsets can be enjoyed from your lanai or the beach! There is not a ton of nightlife on captiva but there is more on... More

We were very excited to come to Captiva island and had high expectations for this resort based on the beautiful website and the price tag. Unfortunately this place was not great. The front desk checkin area looks straight out of the 80s. When we drove over to our room I was very surprised and not in a good way. The... More

My husband and I stayed in the Bayside Villas for the weekend. It was cozy, definitely could use some upgrades but overall not too bad. A little overpriced for the villa though. You definitely should rent a golf cart when you're there so you can get around the resort. The pools were nice. Especially the one that overlooks the ocean... More

My family and I (myself, my husband and 2 boys, age 15 & 12) stayed in a one bedroom Beach Villa during the week of July 7 2014. The location of the unit was perfect - just outside our unit was the beach where there was always somone there to set up beach chairs and umbrellas - we never had... More

We love this place; first took my kids over in sixties. It was a dirt road, no street lights, the only store closed at dusk. Lots of the staff were young, on school break, or summer jobs. Marriott Harbour View Villas has a real super property. Ninety percent of the trees and landscaping are native. Most of the staff are... More

We had a fabulous 3 night experience in a 2 bedroom beach villa this month with our daughters. This is a perfect place to get away and enjoy the beach, ocean, and quality family time. The buildings are set back from the water preserving the natural dune landscape. The unit was clean, well laid out with wonderful screened in porch with... More
