We chose this motel based on good reviews here. Apparently the motel is under new management now and things have changed. The rooms are out of date and reminiscent of the 1960s but without the charm. There is no complementary breakfast. Sometimes there was coffee in the office after 9 am, sometimes not. It seemed to depend on their mood... More

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us. It is handy to have the bait shop next door - Captain Phil knows his saltwater fishing. I hope you were able to enjoy Casey Key as well while you were with us. We'll see you again. More

Room was very basic. Bed was on a sheet of sheet of plywood on top of a platform, but dispite this it was comfortable and we slept well. There was a lack of electrical outlets. If you like pillows bring some extra. Our biggest complaint was the towels. Mine was threadbare in several spots and had a big discoloration on... More

Thank you for leaving some feedback about your visit. We offer rooms that are comfortable and clean. Having said that, the new owners are looking to do some updates when we slow down over the summer. They have already done landscaping and painting on the outside. The pool will start to heat up this month (March) as long as the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here last week for spring break and it was exactly what we were looking for! Check in was quick and easy. Owners were welcoming and nice. We had a standard room which was small but the perfect size for two people. It was a queen bed with a couple dressers, tv, microwave, fridge and a... More

We had a week in March reservation with these folks. Booked in October of 2014 complete with deposit. Three days before we were to arrive they called and cancelled saying the rooms had been double booked. No offer to find us other lodgings, no idea what in the area had availability, just "we're sorry a former employee double booked." Since... More

I apologize for cancelling your reservation. We had just hired an employee that accidentally double-booked a couple rooms during March. The manager, Mike, spent a lot of time looking for nearby availability at different motels, but this being the busiest time of the year, he couldn't help everyone locate an open room at another motel. Our staff is always striving... More

1. Staff friendly and attempted to be helpful. 2. Rotten egg smell of water permeated throughout the room. 3. Hardest water I have ever experienced- could not get soap to lather. 4. Ceramic tile floors and bath needed professional cleaning- dirty and mildewed. 5. Exterior being painted and landscaped; better money spent on very dated interiors- plumbing fixtures, window coverings,... More

Thank you for your honest opinion. I am sorry your stay was not as you expected. We just recently came under new ownership about two months ago. So he is working hard to get the Inn up to his and our expectations. The landscaping is the beginning, and soon we will be going inside for some work. At this time... More

We stayed for 2 nights in February. The rate is 30 dollars less than some of the other local motels. This is an older property, but has had some attention. The floors are ceramic tile. Our room was 109. It is small and basic. Room 109 is near the back and there was no noticeable road noise. It was reasonably... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Nokomis Inn. Sarasota County has extra iron and sulfur in much of the water that comes from the city. We do have water systems that clean and filter the water, so I'm sorry if you noticed a little iron when you took a shower. The Suites come with a full kitchen including... More

So my boyfriend and I, decided to move to Florida, well we got in super late & we remembered the Nokomis Inn, as we had stayed there the last time we came down. It was about 12:30, & the owner, opened the door and gave us a room! It was amazing, if it wasn't for him, we would have had... More

Nokomis Inn has such a great location. You get lower prices but you are so close to the beach - less than a mile from Casey Key - which means beaches, paddleboarding, fishing and kayaking. The bait shop next door is owned by Phil Bloom. He also offers fishing charters if you want to enjoy the open water on a... More
