Returning to the Riverview is like seeing old friends. The place hasn't changed much in the past few years - but has gotten much more popular. That's good for the owners and a challenge for guests. We stayed four nights but on our last night we had to move from our pool-side room to an east ground-floor room because of... more

Old Florida hospitality still exists, and theRiverview is where it can be found. The staff goes out of their way to make everything perfect.18 rooms, all decorated differently , in a restored 1885 bridgekeeper's home make for a unique experience. The Riverview Grill on the property has great intercoastal waterway views where dolphins are normally sited. The hotel is a quiet... more

This place is fine but there is definitely room for improvements. The rooms are nicely appointed but a hairdryer would have been nice. The room was large and another trash bin within the room would have been helpful. Mattresses are also in need of replacement. Cleanliness is where they can make the greatest improvements. Bathroom floor and shower had hair.... more

My husband and I decided to add a few days after working a convention in Orlando and escape to the Riverview. Having the reservation in place back in the Fall made all the pre-convention work bearable (gave me something to look forward to). We did a few days at Disney. Then on Friday drove down to NSB, stayed in our... more

We used to live in New Smyrna and would always put family and friends up at Riverview. In November we returned to town for a visit and decided to treat ourselves to a stay at the Riverview Hotel. In three days time we ended up staying in two rooms (due to room availability). Both rooms were filthy. I never heard... more

We recently stayed at the Riverview and strongly recommend a one or two nite stay. Our room was clean, nicely decorated and opened up to heated/ pool patio area on first floor. Pricey but very good restaurant next door. Two or three blocks from beach but within walking distance. more

My husband and I stayed at the property. The rooms are small, but there is such charm it doesn't matter. The continental breakfast (delivered to your room at no charge) was a just so-so. The staff is very friendly. Next door is a spa - try the "Couples Retreat" - which is a couples massage plus time alone in a... more

The first time I went to the Riverview was in April, when my daughter and her husband gave me one night as a birthday gift. My husband and I absolutely loved it, and before we left to go home, we booked ourselves two nights in September to celebrate our anniversary. The Riverview is as quaint as can be, and the... more

My husband and I found the Riverview Hotel 9 years ago and loved it so much we made it our anniversary trip every year for 3 years until I had our first child. Recently, we decided our second child was finally old enough to leave with family so, we decided to go back to our favorite hideaway. I was so... more
