As a new learning experience I decided to try lobbying the FL legislature with my sixteen year old son. Searching for local hotels proved to be futile and expensive. We decided to try the John Denham B&B in nearby Monticello. This proved to be an excellent choice! We were met by the inn-keeper with a tray of warm cookies! (My... More

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary, and the Inn was acceptable, but would not be my destination in the future. Pat and Marcy were both pleasant and welcoming. The town of Monticello is very small with little to do. We ended up driving up to Thomasville. There were only a few places to eat in town, and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and Marcy and I really do enjoy our guests. Guests meet new friends during their stay and breakfast on the weekends take on a party atmosphere. Monticello is a small antebellum town-one of the oldest in Florida that still retains its southern charm with a large number of historic homes.... More

This was the first experience in a bed and breakfast for my wife and I. Pat is wonderful, knows a lot about the history of not only the house, but very knowledgeable about Monticello and the surrounding area! She knows the best places to eat in the area, had a great dinner. Breakfast at the John Denham house was second... More

My friend and I headed this direction to enjoy a "girlfriends" weekend....not to be disappointed. The food was wonderful and Pat was so personable and gave us a print out of the shops, eateries in town. After telling her of our favorites, the "junk" shops, she directed us to the best ones. We spent the day there and headed up... More

We spent the weekend at this wonderful home and got to enjoy the r&r that this small town provides. Our host was most kind and provided us with all the amenities we could have and more. Not only was the room clean and the bedding most comfortable, but the bathroom was fully stocked with everything we could have and even... More

Everything about this property was charming! The grounds are lovely, the accommodations are spacious and comfortable, breakfast was wonderful, the location is very convenient to town, and the innkeeper, Pat, was delightful. Will definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and charming. The blueberry pancakes and locally made sausage was the best! We came for the color run in Tallahassee. The driving tour of historical homes in Monticello was fun.

No point repeating what others have said about The John Denham House - it's a really nice place to stay with all the usual creature comforts. What makes it unusual is the location. Monticello is a charming little town not far from the Interstate, but far enough that you will feel as though you have stepped back in time. When... More

You said it perfectly. Another visitor from across the pond. Monticello has three homegrown restaurants that are great food with great prices. Most are open 5 to 6 nights a week and are not chain food. I have a list and a map to them to hand to guests. Thanks for the wonderful compliments. I am sure your review is... More

My family and I booked this B&B because it looked great on the photos. When we arrived we were immediately impressed with the reception and welcome we received.
