It was nice, but needed some repair work on the outside. A very nice young women welcomed us but she was new and didn't tell us much about the house. They did have a wine hour in the afternoon. The white wine was just set on the table in the sun, so it was warm. It was nice to sit... More

Thank you for taking the time and effort to write a review and the nice compliments of tasty breakfast, comfortable room, quiet atmosphere and old south front porch We enjoy having fresh flowers in all the rooms and throughout the house. Sorry this dried arrangement was overlooked. The wine time is normally not so sunny - we will definitely keep... More

Beautifully appointed rooms; thoughtful little extras; very comfortable bed in the Lacy room. Warm welcome from Macie, who was helpful & friendly . She returned to make us a very tasty breakfast of blueberry pancakes in the morning. Highly recommended.

Owner Pat made us feel very welcome as she showed us round her beautiful home, including the rooftop sunroom that is said to be haunted! Our room - Jefferson’s Blue Room - was large & airy, & very comfortable. Every amenity for guests was thought of including hot & cold drinks, snacks, homemade “Outrageous Cake”, & a huge selection of... More

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you have a chance to go to Monticello (or anywhere close) you shouldn't miss staying here. My daughter and I stayed for 2 wonderful nights in the "Camellia Room". Pat was so helpful with helping us find our way around and suggesting places to eat locally (that were outstanding). Also her breakfasts... More

Stayed at the John Denham house the night of our wedding. The innkeeper, Pat, was extremely considerate and made accommodations for us to check in around midnight. The room was great and the house is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and everyone was extremely friendly. Highly recommend this B&B to everyone, you will love it!

As a new learning experience I decided to try lobbying the FL legislature with my sixteen year old son. Searching for local hotels proved to be futile and expensive. We decided to try the John Denham B&B in nearby Monticello. This proved to be an excellent choice! We were met by the inn-keeper with a tray of warm cookies! (My... More

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary, and the Inn was acceptable, but would not be my destination in the future. Pat and Marcy were both pleasant and welcoming. The town of Monticello is very small with little to do. We ended up driving up to Thomasville. There were only a few places to eat in town, and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and Marcy and I really do enjoy our guests. Guests meet new friends during their stay and breakfast on the weekends take on a party atmosphere. Monticello is a small antebellum town-one of the oldest in Florida that still retains its southern charm with a large number of historic homes.... More

This was the first experience in a bed and breakfast for my wife and I. My friend and I headed this direction to enjoy a "girlfriends" weekend....not to be disappointed. The food was wonderful and Pat was so personable and gave us a print out of the shops, eateries in town. After telling her of our favorites, the "junk" shops, she directed us to the best ones. We spent the day there and headed up... More
