What's the big deal? This is a nice place for the money & met all our needs. Glad we didn't listen to the reviews. We didn't need a swanky, plush hotel for just a few days. We wanted a place on the beach, inexpensive, comfortable, close to everything & a breakfast. We got all of that. We were in Miami... more

This is by far the WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The local homeless shelter would have been more comfortable! “Fleabag Motel” would be putting it nicely. Filthy, Filthy, Filthy! The lobby and grounds were extremely unkept. My room did not have a working air conditioner. My sheets were filthy (I woke up with bed bug bites!!). I had to... more

I am happy to throw in my vote as well for the worst hotel in existence! I wish I had visited this site before we went and seen all the bad reviews for this hotel. The staff were rude, there were hidden charges for everything, and the whole hotel was packed with loud teenagers. We were hit with the $9.95/person/day... more

This hotel should be closed down, it is dirty smelly damp, mould patches all over the bed room / bathroom walls. When you first walk in you get fooled by the nice reception area but after that it is down hill all the way. I did how ever read the reviews on your web site before I left home and... more

I am shocked of how bad a hotel can be, I had worst experience ever. They had a Resort fee 9.95 a day per person extra which includes a continental breakfast, I didn't realize a continental breakfast is cereal and stale bagels. We paid for a refrigerator and didn't get it until the 3rd day. The Jacuzzi was broken for... more

Arrival: 5 p.m. 12/24 - Walked into hotel; it smelled musty, moldy. Found out parking costs $30 a day (THIRTY DOLLARS). Resort fee 9.95 a day per person on top of hotel cost. Supposed to include continental breakfast ( HAHAHAHAHA), use of resort chairs on beach, pool towels, a couple of other things that are usually free at an upscale... more

I spent 4 nights at the sovereign. It was ok for the price because in Miami you can pay much for a nasty room so I guess I could have paid more... Anyway, at check in , we had to change three times the room because there were people in the first one(we entered the room and saw luggages.....), the... more

I gotta agree with davysmom03.....we stayed for a week....only because we bought a package and it was too late to change it! We had booked an ocean view room...the first room we were sent to had a view alright.....of a building in the process of being built.I went straight back to the reception area and they moved us.The new "ocean... more

A friend and I made reservations online and paid about $90 a night with credit card. When we checked in, we were told there was a mandatory $9.95 extra "resort fee" per person per night that included a continental breakfast and other services. We told them we weren't interested in that, but it didn't matter; they said it was required.... more

I stayed at this hotel on 8-26-06...after reading the reviews I was so scared to go there, but when I arrived at the hotel I realized that everyone was expecting the Ritz Carlton with a Motel 6 price, the hotel was clean, the staff was very nice and the location you couldn't beat...oceanfront.....it was better then I expected for only... more
