We were going to Miami Shores area to visit my husband's uncle and we needed a pet friendly hotel (we have a maltese puppy). I went onto Trip Advisor and Expedia. The choices were pretty slim on expedia and tripadvisor had a huge list but when I called the properties it seemed that none of them were actually pet friendly.... more

First off the bat, we arrived at the hotel almost two o'clock in the morning. the place was quiet and there was only one person working on the counter. I thought that we would have to wait until the morning to get service. But, we were generously helped and the clerk directed us to our room. We pulled our bags... more

It's the smell of must. It's the smell of a hotel room that hasn't been cleaned carefully. It's the smell of a hotel I never plan on returning to. In addition to the smell and mildew on some furniture I saw several ants in my room. On top of this the hotel staff was not the least bit helpful in... more

This hotel was an excellent value for the money (about $100/night). Rooms were clean and well maintained. Service was fine --- we were escorted to our room when we first arrived at 1am. The North beach location clearly is best for those wishing to avoid the South Beach scene such as families or those who don't mind staying a few... more

Just returned from the hotel and will not go back there again. Sure it's cheap compared to the other hotels in the area, but maybe that's why sevice is not the best. Here are the good things about the hotel: 1. IT's CHEAP 2. You get breakfast for free 3. It's next to the water Here are the bad things:... more

The rooms are tastefully decorated, air-conditioned, and spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet offers a varied and deliciously fresh choice including fruit, bagels, waffles and muffins, and hard-boiled or scrambled eggs were available on request. The outdoor pool is within easy reach of the accommodation although it may not be free from minor debris. I should qualify the following comments by... more

Just returned from this hotel, and it exceeded my location expectations. It is right on the water, and the rooms are big. It looks like an older hotel, but the rooms were spacious & there was a great patio area with chairs to sit out & look out at the water. They serve a free continental breakfast every day that... more

Nice Hotel. Its old but the rooms are like the Embassey Suites. Very nice. They need to add a microwave though. The breakfast area seating is over the river(blueish green water). The food is ok. They are going to add waffels soon I was told by one of students cooks.I was told that the hotel won't renew the back portion... more

This hotel had extremely poor service, when we checked in at 3pm (this is check in time, but they do not have rooms ready at this time, you have to wait an additional twenty minutes) they did not have the double bed room I had requested and confirmed by phone the previous night. The desk clerk argued with me and... more

Booked the Romance Package, had a hard time doing this, but it did work. Received room service breakfast (fruit and pastries and cereals - no eggs or meats) and dinner in restaurant. We really liked the room and the location - canal view on 2nd floor of newer building. However, the hotel was really understaffed, our dinner took about 3... more
