We stopped here for two nights after a cruise and had a great time. THe room had a wonderful ocean view and the restaurant was the best around (although lots of choices if you just walk up and down the street). The location is fabulous with the beach volleyball right across the street, Johnny Rockets next door, and beach access... more
Once again the Beacon made my vacation exactly what I hoped it would be. Great food, great staff, excellent accomodations and the most helpful people you'd want to meet. Have and would recommend the Beacon to anyone heading to South Beach :) more
i thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the beacon...i stayed one night before a cruise...and one night after... the service was great...my room on my second night's stay was beautiful...it was a king room overlooking the beach front...loved it! the first night i had a standard room which was fine but absolutely no view...but the view on the second night was... more
Beacon Hotel is a great place to stay if visiting South Beach in Miami. Just in front of the Ocean, you have only to cross the street and you are on the beach. Lots of restaurants and pubs on the street. 10 minutes by car to Miami Downtown. The rooms are clean and the service is really good. No parking... more
Staff and location make this hotel a great place to stay. Clean and tastefully decorated with bright rooms. Daytime activities are people watching, shopping, boarding, cycling up and down the beach. Beach is awesome... who needs a pool? Night time freshin' up and eat at many of the cool spots along Ocean Drive. Bring money 'cause Sobe ain't cheap...would go... more

We stayed for one night out in our 3 week holiday and this has to be the worst place to stay. The beds sunk in the middle and were really uncomfortable, the sheets were dirty, the pillows didn't match and we had a view of the top of a building. We stayed in The Beacon Hotel for two nights and it was an overall pleasant experience. The hotel provides complimentary beach towels and chairs and is directly across from the beach. South beach begins at 1st and Ocean Drive and ends at 16...
The service was excellent, and the room was beautiful with marble tiled floors, and tinted glass bathroom doors to go along with the art deco flavor. The area is beautiful and wonderfully historic. The beach across the street was great, as is Lummus Park has a walkway that goes on for miles. more
