We stayed two nights at Hotel St. Augustine. Our room was very clean, spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet with a minute walk to the beach and Ocean Ave. The breakfast included delicious pastries from the neighborhood Argentinian Bakery. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

The staff was very welcoming. Our room was quite comfortable. There was a fridge in the room, but it was locked, stocked, and considered a minibar fridge. So we had pull a McGyer and kept the sink filled with ice to keep our drinks cold. We also had a hard time finding a clear channel on the TV. But we... More

Michael is just so pleasant and accommodating in every way. Very pleasant on phone and in person. His staff is as he is, very nice. Perfect location, clean and steam shower just wonderful. Very happy to have family/friends stay at this lovely safe feeling small hotel.

This hotel staff -- James and Michael in particular -- go out of their way to help us use the hotel as a base for our small photo production. The hotel has a perfect location, bike friendly, super helpful and genuinely pleasant. We love the rooms and the breakfast area where internationals gather. In fact we always collide with a... More

We wanted to be in South Beach, but the prices of hotels on Miami Beach were out of our snack bracket. At the end of our internet search we stumbled on Hotel St. Augustine and the pictures/price sold us. We arrived on a Friday (before our Saturday cruise). After a hectic day of travel we were greeted by a bright,... More

I have stayed here a handful of times and it's always the staff that makes my stay worth coming back for -pleasant, friendly and always accommodating. James, Alex, Jesse, Mike and all of the housekeeping staff were great! I love how this hotel is in a quieter area of South Beach, yet close enough to all the activity and beaches.... More

We felt safe. The hotel is close to the beach but not on the beach which was fine with us. Is was quiet, which we like. But there is nothing incredible about this hotel. Our room could have used a fresh coat of paint as the walls were dingy (and a skim coat because the texture on the walls is... More

Stayed at St Augustine in Jan 2015. Small dated Hotel. The desk clerk was pleasant & efficient, though we had to explain more than once that we had pre-paid for our stay. The decor is virtually non existent. The room was freshly painted, however that did not cover up the extremely old furniture. Eclectic describes this place very well. The... More

Thank-you for your objective review. We at the hotel are aware of our shortcomings and I can assure you that a full renovation is already in our plans. Until then we are making sure that our service is first rate and that we offer a quiet , spacious and clean alternative to the often noisy hotels on the strip. Most... More

My wife and I only had one night to spend in Miami Beach. She wanted to stay in the art deco area. The property is definitely art deco, nice and clean. You can tell that it is an older building, but they do a good job at keeping it maintained. The room decor and layout is different, I'm NOT saying... More
