We visited in 2013 We are lucky to find this place in Lonely Planet and a nod to one of our favourite childhood places, St Augustine, Florida. Affordable in SOFI - south of fifth street where it is more residential area with yeshivas, inns, apartments, Jewish museum and not South Beach clubbing crowd. I am a light sleeper and only one night... More

Thank you for your expansive review of us and all things South Beach !! I am glad you got my unique sense of humour. I realize that you wanted to keep us to yourselves but we would appreciate all the business we can get ! Once again thank-you and it has been too long --so please come back soon ?! More

This is a nice little hotel, with one major negative. First, the good: decent price for a great location in Miami Beach, a couple of blocks walking distance from the beach itself. onsite parking (though you pay extra) is convenient, and the rooms are large and clean. The staff is really friendly and excellent. However, the hotel is pretty noisy.... More

Thank-you for your positive review with the one caveat of the A/C. Most of our guests appreciate the powerful system - especially in the summertime - but it can be a bit disconcerting when it comes on initially ; so I recommend to all our future guests that you leave it on Fan - so it is a constant hum... we don't like large resort type hotels and this was more like a small European hotel, in a quiet location in south beach but very accessible to the places you'd go. We had space to park in their small parking lot which worked out very well. We had a nice breakfast, staff was friendly and the room was adequate. Good... More

We were the "other couple", staying at this hotel for four nights with niece n family. We found everyone we came into contact with here extremely kind and helpful. The receptionists Anastasia and ?, George and ? managers, the room attendants ( didn't see, but knew they had been in as rooms always clean and fresh) and of course NORMA.... More

I would rate this hotel 9 out of 10 because I'm very picky almost about everything. But I can tell you that for aprox. $450 a night for a double room it had this: • Pretty big room for 2 people • Air conditioner works great • Big shower (prob might contain up to 6 people) + sauna! • Free... More

The hotel was nice wasn't what we expected but we got what we paid for. I was very comfortable and cozy. Two blocks away from the beach, which was great because thats what we went down there for. I would stay there again!!

I stayed here with my husband, 2 children (aged 9 and 5) and another couple for 4 nights. I was a little bit hesitant about what this hotel would be like after I received a 'snippy' email from the manager when I was looking to confirm my booking (I booked on Booking.com), to make sure the room I booked would... Wonderful small boutique hotel. Modern design in old art deco building. Rooms have cool curved wall, open bath layout with huge steam shower. Easy walking distance to lower south beach for sun and surf. Two blocks from main drag so can sleep at night. Great restaurants on the street. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful.

We are big fans of this hotel. Our room was great with an inbuilt sauna/shower, which was fabulous. The staff were lovely and good fun. Its perfectly positioned near the beach to track sand back in to and yet quiet and set back. Apart from the slightly limited breakfast (who cares), its the perfect hotel.

From the outside you could be forgiven for thinking you have come to the wrong address, and the ratings you have read about are wrong. Well, WRONG. As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with a friendly smile, a good welcome, and all the information you needed. The rooms are a little unusual in layout, but... More
