We booked into the Colony Hotel for 2 nights on our return to Miami, We found the guy at reception Carlos i think his name was quite helpful and helped us to our room with our luggage. The room seemed clean and fresh like it had been renovated recently which was nice, the bathroom seemed ok but the sink was... More

Just to make clear, we did not stay at this hotel but made the mistake to get conned by the restaurant hostess as we walked by. Now we've been to Miami Beach several times and we are not tourists, we live in Florida. We were not particularly hungry but the hostess told us about the 2 for 1 drink specials... More

The hotel itself is in a fantastic location for night life and the beach is directly across the street! The staff did not have customer service skills of any kind. Both women at the front desk were rude and seemed like they did not even want to speak. The elevator did not service the first floor and we had to... More

We booked 2 rooms for 1 night pre-cruise prepaid through a discount website. We had reserved rooms with two beds and were given rooms on the second floor. We picked the hotel because of location and were not expecting too much based on previous reviewers. We found the rooms to be OK but nothing special. Each room was different in... More

Stayed here 1 night with 3 friends. The elevator was old fashioned and reminded me of something you would see in the movies from 1920. 1 friend opted for the stairs because she didn't want to take the risk in it getting stuck. Beds were on low rise platforms and after a few shin bashing's, you learned to avoid the... More

We knew it was going to be simple, but the room had a bad smell. There were no windows to be opened. We were charged for packages even when we were told otherwise. This process has to be improved there. The hotel has a good location on Miami beach.

The Colony is a typical ocean drive hotel, you get less for your money than you would else where on South Beach. That said, the room we stayed in was clean and a good size (we were on the 1st floor), it looked like it may have been decorated not so long ago in fact. Yes it faced another building... More

The room darkening curtain did not seal around the window. It was impossible to darken the room. Staff was friendly, specially maid service. The bed was unconfortable. If you wanna sleep, take a pill. If you want to have fun in South Beach and do not care about sleeping, the location could not be better.

The hotel was a little bit average. We got placed in a room right next to 2 industrial construction sites so we were woken up every morning with beeping from loud trucks and people talking. The location was great however we could hardly walk out the front door of reception without being pestered to stop for lunch or dinner or... More

This hotel is a dump. I stood in room 215. Let's start off with saying that the view was of a brick building about 10 ft away. The refrigerator was warm. It didn't get cold. The room smelled like something died in it. A friend came to visit and thought we had rotting food in it. The smell was unbearable.... More
