This was our first trip to Miami. We found Catalina on-line & had a great time! The staff was very nice & helpful. The location and price was great. The Lobby and red carpeting in the hallway of the first floor were pretty worn, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved the private pool area and of course... More

Well, we booked a room at the Dorset International Hotel and did not know that it really did not exist anymore but was part of the Catalina Hotel and Beach Club. Really, it was no problem though. This place is super hip. There is a bar inside and a Bamboo lounge outside. We had a king size bedroom and the... More

Well the good things are: 1. Location: Close to the beach. They even provide towels and beach chairs. 2. happy Hour: FREE drinks from 7-8pm! 3. Staff: Friendly 4. Hmmmm....that might be it. And now the BAD: 1. Price: Way over priced for what I paid. On top of that...when I got my credit card statement, it looks like they... More

I don't know how much others paid to stay, but be aware that there are mid-week specials and other deals advertised on the hotel's webiste that beat hotels.com and any other discount site. That's how we got our room for $63/night. If we paid any more, I would've felt scammed. Reasons to stay: 1. Clean rooms. 2. 1 block from... More

I HAVE NEVER BOTHERED TO REVIEW ANYTHING ONLINE BEFORE!! So trust me when I say BEWARE. As someone else mentioned unless you are 20 and on spring break, I recommend avoiding tihs hotel at all costs. I also recommend taking any positive reviews with a very large grain of salt, and consider that maybe they were paid endorsements pretending to... More

All I can say is that we have stayed at the Catalina Hotel TWICE in six months and each time was so much more than a good time- I just can't put it in words! The location is amazing (can you say centralized?) and the staff was extremely professional and they do make a request a reality. FYI - upgrade... More

Having lived in South Florida my whole life yet having never "experienced" South Beach, I felt like I was missing something. So my girlfriend and I decided to drive down from Palm Beach & spend a Sat. night to see what all the fuss was about. We arrived round 6:00 PM and being young "working" professionals we didn't feel like... More

Ok so unless you are 20 and on a budget and on spring break, i do not think you will enjoy staying at this hotel. I really could not get anything here without asking for it a dozen times or b*tching - which is totally not my style. I saw a lot of the reviews for this hotel before i... More

Just returned from my first trip to South Beach and stayed at The Catalina Hotel and Beach Club on Collins Ave. Having never been to SoBe before, I really didn't know what to expect - other than word of mouth from friends and Travel Advisor Members. So I was more than pleasantly surprised, specifically with my accommodations at The Catalina... More

I wrote this to the Manager the day after I checked out: Dear Linsey; I have just stayed with you at The Catalina and wanted to let you know of my experience. I am in the hospitality industry myself and as the VP of my company, I really appreciate my guests' feedback. Let me quickly outline what my 22 hours... More
