My husband and I booked Riviera South Beach hotel and after traveling the entire day to get here, we were told our room was given to someone else (even though we had already paid for it) and were sent to the 'sister' hotel, Catalina Beach Club. Upon arrival at Catalina Hotel we had to push our way through all the... More

The hotel location is fine. We got a pretty nice room. But obviously, their service sucks. The shuttle driver was less than polite, the front desk guys were not helpful and the maid never showed up. Imagine being on a vacation, paying for the hotel room and having to clean up and make your own bed!!!

1st it took our room forever to be ready. 2nd...the bathroom was the worst!!! The shower floor looked like it had mildew and had never been cleaned. Also, there was no shower door so the floor kept getting wet. We had to keep putting towels on the floor and they never provided us enough towels. Ohhh...the bathroom constantly smelled like... More

This was our first trip to South Beach where we actully stayed overnight in a hotel. Originally I planned to stay at a Marriott Courtyard near the Fountainbleau but the friends we were meeting with suggested we all stay at the Catalina and I am glad we did. Upon arrival I must admit I thought I had landed on another... More

The front desk staff is horrible. When we first arrived we were in a horrible room in one of the sister hotels. Not only was the room cruddy-looking, but it was all white and obviously dusty. We showed up at 3 am after calling in advance to let them know and was charged a no-show fee. What should we have... More

Staff is not friendly nor helpful at all. The room was so so, no frills - just the way other travellers had described it. Quite different from the website. My room was in front of the bar (to the main street) and sooooo noisy. To be honest, I was expecting for something worst after reading the reviews, probably that is... More

The Catalina was the best hotel we have stayed at in South Beach. Although not on the beach it is right across the street. They have two great pools, one roof top which we enjoyed daily. Our room was spacios and the bed was so comfortable. Restraurants were delicious for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service was the great and... More

Really guys? Best hotel in the world? I hardly doubt that unless you own this hotel. The only great thing is that it's a block from the beach and it was a little cheaper than the other hotels in the area. The decor of this hotel is cheap and horrible. Its wannabe posh-luxury style is a complete failure because everything... More

Having stayed in many hotels and resorts around the world, I would have to say that this hotel was the worst. The stairs and passages were dirty. The lighting was dim with dark carpet so it was hard to see. The rooms were very basic. The bathroom was dirty with hair on the wall and floor and used soap on... More

Stuck in elevator literally - management says it was our fault because of the weight limit which was posted inside the elevator on the opposite side of the wall as the buttons for the floor Room looked like a cheap, cheesy renovation project gone Wrong- Lamps in the room looked like those found in the gynecologist office.. Bed If you... More
