Loved this friendly boutique hotel. Hip decor, very comfortable beds, great staff. But be advised that this is not for everybody : loud music in the evening, long walks between buildings and young crowd. But what an atmosphere ! We just loved everything about this place and the price cannot be beaten.

Our hotel was next door (The Maxine - I think that's the name) and I had room 150, which was in the lobby area and you had to go up a couple of steps. I could see the pool from my window which was okay and no one was in it. After I went to the bathroom I discovered the... More

I was looking for an inexpensive room in the middle of south beach and i got more than i paid for. the beds and linens are amazing - temperpedic!!! free drinks for an hour every night. The only downside was that the bartender was hitting on my girlfriend and i couldnt find either of them for over an hour

i find it alarming the number of negative reviews for this hotel?! i did research beforehand to get an idea of the area, and chose this hotel specifically because we liked the look of it, the location, and the amenities it offered. we were taking a 50/50 chance, because in the reviews people raved about it, or hated it. we... My husband and I booked a room at the Catalina, we stood at the Dorset and it was really nice. I was kinda skeptical at first because of the reviews but it was nothing like those bad reviews claim it to be. It was clean and the sheets and towels were clean too. The only thing about the room was,... More

This is not the cleanest hotel and the service is horrible. I arrived in Miami on a late flight and was assured by a hotel clerk (and the website) their shuttle service ran until 11. After waiting over an hour for the shuttle, I was informed by a different hotel clerk that the last shuttle was at 8. (Strike 1)... More

We spent one night at the Hotel Catalina after having received it as a "Mystery Hotel" offer from BookIt.com. $92 for a 3.5* on a Saturday night seemed like a good deal, but with a $20 extra charge for our 13 year old, the total came to $144 + $32 in parking. We had planned to self park, but by... More

We stayed here for two days in July and had a wonderful stay. Our room was in the Dorset building and was wonderfully decorated. We were able to access their Wi-Fi from our room (some people said you could only get it in the lobby but not for us). The rooms were a little dark and could use some extra... More
